GOWRAN PARK and SLIGO (eve) stage the Irish action on Tuesday. Shamrock’s NAP runs in the final race at Gowran Park at 4.30.
Power To Please ran a cracker on her debut at the Curragh when second to Authorization, beaten just half a length. She started a 20/1 chance that day. The form wasn’t exactly boosted next time out when Authorization was only fifth in a Galway handicap but Circle, third at the Curragh, has since gone onto win a Leopardstown maiden.
Principal rival today Azores has proved expensive to follow and remains a maiden after seven starts. She has twice been beaten at odds-on and the first time blinkers didn’t work the miracle last time out at Limerick. You’d have to say at this stage Power To Please has the more scope and can build on that promising debut.
In the opener at 1.30 Aidan O’Brien runs two including Battle Of Marengo who shaped well on debut when third at Leopardstown. However, it’s interesting to see that Flameseeker, who finished seventh on debut at Naas, is very prominent in the BETDAQ market and with expected significant improvement for that run could be the one for this race.
