4 FROM 7 NAPS: SHAMROCK heads to the Irish Derby on the back of 4 WINNING NAPS FROM HIS LAST 7. Can he boost the stats further today?

The NAP won, but it was a short price last night. Apologies for that.

Around 1.8 on BETDAQ in the morning, Streetcar To Stars WON AT 4/9 – but it was one winner from one selection as the next best bet on the day, Calibrate, was a non runner.

That now means 4 from the last 7 NAPS have won:

Saturday: Pique Sous (NAP) WON 11/4
Sunday: Adroit (NAP) WON 7/4
Monday: Bless N’ject (NAP) lost
Tuesday: Oscar Vespasian (NAP) lost
Wednesday: Carla Bianca (NAP) WON 13/8
Thursday: Chiclet (NAP) 2nd
Friday: Streetcar To Stars (NAP) WON 4/9

Talking of short priced favourites Australia looks set to go off around 1.3 on BETDAQ to follow up his success at Epsom at the Curragh this afternoon.

If he repeats what he did in Surrey then he wins this. As simple as that, as all of his rivals bar Ponfeigh ran at Epsom.

Roger Varian’s Kingston Hill did best of the rest and finished a length and a quarter second to the Aidan O’Brien trained favourite.  I’ve tried hard to see reasons why the form can be turned around (easier track etc) but have failed to come up with any angle to oppose Australia with.

In terms of the nap, I prefer to look at the Railway Stakes at 4.50 and like the look here of the Ger Lyons trained Cappella Sansevero who ran a blinder at Royal Ascot to finish second to The Wow Signal in the Coventry Stakes.

He exchanged hands for £1.3 million after winning his first three races and can get back on the winning road today. He certainly should account again for War Envoy who was only ninth in the Coventry.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Cappella Sansevero (4.50 Curragh)
