GALWAY DAY FOUR: SHAMROCK’S NAP on Thursday runs in the 3.45pm.
Switching to afternoon racing at Galway on Thursday and I’m switching to the flat there.
Surrounding looks a solid bet in the Arthur Guinness Irish EBF Corrib Fillies Stakes at 3.45pm.
The six-year-old has to give weight away but she is a class performer as she proved last time out when staying on well over seven furlongs to win a Group 3 at Fairyhouse. Over the same trip and ground she should prove hard to beat.
The Joseph O’Brien trained Cava probably found the six furlongs too quick at Naas last time out in Listed company at Naas and she should find this much more to her liking and looks the biggest danger.
Later in the day Joseph O’Brien has a strong hand in The Galway Hurdle at 4.55pm with his two runners disputing favouritism. Band Of Outlaws is just preferred to Gardens Of Babylon but it really is so tricky and I’ll just rely on Surrounding to hopefully make the profit today.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Surrounding (3.45 Galway)
