THURSDAY NAP AT THURLES: SHAMROCK’s NAP on Thursday runs in the opening beginners chase on the Thurles card.
Emily Moon is favourite to make a winning start over fences in the opener for Jessica Harrington but her two hurdle wins to date have come on good ground. She did win a Cork bumper on soft to heavy ground so it might not be an issue but she looks a little short in the market all things considered.
Our Roxane looks a very credible alternative and comes here in cracking form for her belated chasing debut at the age of nine. Her most recent second to Black Tears in a decent Leopardstown handicap hurdle gives her a great chance on form if converting her ability over fences.
Gordon Elliott’s runner Edene D’Arc has won a couple of races at Gowran on testing ground but has failed to complete in both her starts over fences to date – falling at Fairyhouse and unseating last time out at Limerick.
