GOING TOUGH AT ROSCOMMON TONIGHT: Well it’s officially good to firm but SHAMROCK finds it a tough card for punters to navigate.
The nap finished third at 3/1 yesterday. No excuses just not good enough on the night.
Roscommon is a card I’m really struggling with tonight. You get those kind of cards when nothing really stands out.
That’s the disclaimer out of the way – but I will do my level best to find a Tuesday winner for you.
Easy Vic looks the best bet on the card in the Leo Dolan Memorial Handicap Hurdle at 7.20pm. At the time of writing we are down to 10 runners with three fairly significant non runners which has changed the complex of the race.
The most worrying factor about napping Easy Vic is his overall profile – just one win from 35 career starts and that came in a chase at Leopardstown where he finally consented to put his head in front and win by a head.
He gets the ticks in the boxes for going (seems immune to any ground) and also stamina – he stayed on well over 2m 7f last time out.
But the biggest thing going for him has to be the weakness of the opposition here. Certainly if he reproduced the form of his second at Punchestown in May behind Abolitionist (winner again since) over tonight’s trip he should take all the beating.
He has come in for some early support on BETDAQ and is taken to see off some, mainly, out of form rivals.
