MATCH OVERVIEW:
The IPL is back at the world’s biggest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday as Gujarat Titans host Rajasthan Royals on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! We’ve had a couple of big games this week, even this early in the tournament, and this is another. Gujarat Titans have made an excellent start with three wins from four games, while Rajasthan Royals have won two from four. It’s a very interesting game because a win for the home side would put them in an excellent spot for a playoff spot, while a win for Rajasthan would likely see both sides sitting in mid-table heading into the weekend.
Since losing their opening game, Gujarat Titans have had three very impressive wins, including against a decent RCB side this season. They’ve won with 36 runs, then with 13 and 20 balls remaining. At the moment, it seems the batting and bowling are firing at the moment. The top three have been in excellent touch, and even with Buttler failing against Sunrisers Hyderabad they still won comfortably. The bowling has been consistent too; but they do need more from Ishant Sharma who has been going for runs recently. Mohammed Siraj has been excellent though!
Rajasthan Royals have bounced back well after losing their two opening games of the tournament. They hammered Punjab Kings at the weekend; scored over 200 runs and then won by 50 with Jofra Archer the star with the ball. Their batting line-up is quite weak compared to the other sides in the IPL; and they really need a lot from their top order. A fascinating game awaits.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
This will be the third game here, and we’ve had some very high scoring conditions so far. The two sides who have batted first have won with scores of 243/5 and 196/8. That 243 came close to being chased too with Gujarat Titans only 11 runs short. Usually at Ahmedabad we can get two wickets – a raging turner and a flat wicket full of runs. In T20 cricket, we usually get the one full of runs and that has been the case this season!
RECOMMENDED BET:
Gujarat Titans come into the game as the favourites and that isn’t a surprise. They have played the better cricket, and they are in very good form at the moment. In my opinion, they still offer good value at 1.83 – they aren’t quite Five Star NAP material like RCB against Mumbai Indians earlier in the week which we landed, but I’m very happy to have a confident bet on the home win here – as I said above, the batting and bowling are both firing at the moment, and they can keep their winning run going.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
Conditions have been very good for batting here and that’s been reflected in the two opening scores. It’s hard to see conditions changing too much, and I would go into this game expecting a reasonably high scoring game. With that in mind, I would focus on looking for trades on the batting side here rather than the bowling side – ideally, Gujarat would bat first and then I feel it would be a no brainer to support them batting first.
