MATCH OVERVIEW:
We’re all set for another excellent day in the Caribbean Premier League and we start the day with Trinbago Knight Riders again St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. We’re nearing the end of the tournament now and it won’t be long until the Playoffs. Trinbago are certain to be there and remaining unbeaten after seven games. They managed to keep their unbeaten record without Narine however he returned to action yesterday and was in excellent form. He only conceded 23 runs in four overs and took one wicket.
Trinbago were able to deal with Jamaica very easily yesterday. They put up the second highest score of the tournament when setting 184/4 batting first. They also recorded the highest score, and have been very impressive to date. The same can’t be said about St Kitts however, as they sit bottom of the table with only one win from seven games. They have really struggled this season and Trinbago should be able to comfortably deal with them.
WEATHER AND PITCH WATCH:
Trinbago played in the early game yesterday and scored 184/4 batting first while Jamaica recorded 165/6 in reply. Those scores were a little high, however as I said yesterday batting conditions were always going to be at their best yesterday as it was a fresh wicket. You’d have to expect batting to get more difficult as we play more games here.
The average score batting first in the three completed first innings here before the sides moved to Queen’s Park Oval was 1.72. And then we saw 184/4 yesterday so I would expect a par score to be around 170 for the early game and I would also suggest that it would be a challenging score to chase given conditions.
RECOMMENDED BET:
We landed a nice bet with Trinbago yesterday against Jamaica and I like them again today. They should have more than enough talent to beat this poor St Kitts side and it was a big positive to see Narine back in the team yesterday. St Kitts have batted very poorly to date and on paper it’s hard to see how they turn that around. Even when they put up an excellent score (on paper) of 150/5 in a late game at Queen’s Park Oval they gave the game away with some poor bowling. Guyana played well, but nobody was getting close to chasing 150+ on that wicket beforehand! Trinbago keep their unbeaten record for me.
The Edge Says:
One point win Trinbago Knight Riders to beat St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at 1.42 with BETDAQ Exchange.

IN-RUNNING STRATEGY:
It’s worth noting looking at the results from this ground that it was a lot more possible to chase at the start of the tournament. As the games went on here, it got more and more difficult to chase – especially at night. Five of the first six games here had a score chased down, but then the last four were won by the team batting first. I think for today the wicket will be pretty ok for batting and there won’t be any excuses. In a couple of days time that could be very difficult!
Trinbago should easily bowl St Kitts out for a low score here with Narine back in the team and I’d be happy to trade Trinbago when bowling as well as batting. If they lost an early wicket or two, I’d still fancy a trade as their middle order has been impressive and the St Kitts death bowling hasn’t been good.
