TOTTENHAM V MANCHESTER CITY

8pm We finish Friday night with the highlight BETDAQ Betting Exchange fixture of the Fourth Round in my opinion as Spurs host Manchester City. We usually get plenty of drama when these two meet, so hopefully we see more of the same. Obviously with this being a Cup game, we might see some changes to the starting XI’s – it’s always the way in the FA Cup these days unfortunately. City will naturally have a stronger squad than Spurs, and they come into the game as the odds on favourites. The away win is trading 1.69 at the time of writing with Spurs 5.2 and the draw is 4.5. After not laying last weekend due to the Premier League Winter Break, City are now five points behind Liverpool at the top of the table. They do have a game in hand however which will close the gap to two points should they win. Spurs also have a lot of work to do in the league; they have dropped out of the Top Four for the time being and they are three points behind Aston Villa. It will be interesting to see the team news here because although we come into the game off the back of the Winter Break, we have two full fixture lists within the space of next week. City have the better schedule though; they are at home to Burnley Wednesday and then play Brentford the following Monday.

Spurs will play Brentford on Wednesday night too before playing Everton away from home. I know the Premier League sides look down on the FA Cup these days, but I think this is an excellent chance for both managers to name strong starting XI’s. There aren’t too many reasons not to. We had one of the most entertaining games of the season when these sides met in the Premier League in early December. Spurs scored in the 90th minute for a 3-3 draw! Spurs have grinded out two 1-0 wins in their last two home games against City, completely against the odds in has to be said too, however we’ve had a lot of goals the other times the sides have met. We’ve had score lines like 3-3, 4-2 and 3-2. The way Ange Postecoglou sets up his Spurs side would suggest a very open game here, and we all know City will fight fire with fire too. I feel this game screams goals, and Over 2.5 goals is a very appealing bet at 1.53. I think we’ll see a very end-to-end game here with plenty of chances for both sides.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.53 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
