CRYSTAL PALACE V CHELSEA

8pm We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League to start a massive week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! All eyes will be on the start of the Champions League knock out stages, but before we get there the Chelsea saga will continue! Mauricio Pochettino had a bit of a rant after losing to Wolves – I think that was the first sign that he was definitely starting to feel the heat. That’s even allowing for the fact that I felt he wasn’t getting too much pressure from the UK media considering Chelsea have been sitting in mid-table all season.

I think the manner of the loss against Wolves was surprising too. They shipped four goals against Wolves with home advantage. It looked easy for Wolves which was the surprising thing. They faced Aston Villa away from home in the FA Cup midweek, and Villa were exceptionally well backed before the game so the general feeling was everyone was expecting a home win. Chelsea came out flying though, and controlled the game. That Enzo Fernandez free kick was unreal. That win should give them plenty of confidence, and they can be expected to follow up against a poor Crystal Palace side.

Roy Hodgson is another manager under pressure. Crystal Palace started this matchday just five points off the relegation zone – they are “too good to go down” but that’s a little too close for comfort really. Their average xG created of 1.13 is the fifth worst in the Premier League, and they have been just as bad at home as away. Their fans haven’t had much to shout about! Palace have also been poor at the back, and it’s no surprise to see Chelsea trading as the odds on favourites. Chelsea are 1.87 with Crystal Palace 4.5 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing.

Chelsea have been playing a very open game this season – that’s made for very entertaining viewing and it could get them into trouble here. They face a very limited Palace side going forward here though. Only Sheffield United and Burnley have scored fewer goals this season. Chelsea have been conceding marginally more chances than they have been creating away from home, which is a worry here but Palace are a side to be against in my opinion. I’m going to keep stakes very limited because clearly Chelsea have struggled to get results this season, however the 1.87 is a couple of ticks too big in my opinion.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace at 1.87 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
