PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: The Striker previews Monday’s Premier League game between WEST HAM v BOURNEMOUTH with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats via FACTMAN.

WEST HAM V BOURNEMOUTH

8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy in the Premier League this week on BETDAQ Betting Exchange as West Ham host Bournemouth. This might not be the most glamorous Monday Night Football fixture we’ve had this season, but it is an interesting one nonetheless – especially from a betting point of view. West Ham come into the game as heavy favourites currently trading 1.59 and granted they have a lot more quality in their squad but Bournemouth have been on a good run lately.

Bournemouth will actually start this game sitting above West Ham in the table – they’ve managed to collect two more points from their 11 games and although they are still well fancied to go down this season, you have to say they have given themselves a fighting chance with their results recently. Both sides lost 1-0 last week in the midweek round of fixtures, but West Ham definitely had the tougher fixture as they were away to Liverpool. They actually played very well – Liverpool only scored once but the game could have honestly finished 4-4 there was so many chances. The Hammers finished with an xG of 2.63, which was marginally higher than Liverpool too.

Bournemouth unbeaten run came to an end midweek in a very close game against Southampton. It was a pretty even game, not much between two average sides and to be honest it could have gone either way. I don’t think Bournemouth will be too disappointed overall but they did have home advantage. While Bournemouth were lucky to pick up their opening few results, it’s clear that it’s given them confidence because their performances have improved. They have created xG figures of 1.43, 1.62 and 0.86 in their last three games. I know they aren’t really impressive numbers, but we’re dealing with a low standard here to be honest.

I can see Bournemouth giving West Ham a difficult time, but I feel the odds look right in the match odds market at 1.59. It’s hard to make the case that West Ham should be shorter but equally I don’t want to lay them at these prices. The bet I like here is Over 2.5 goals at 2.08. I was surprised to see it trading odds against – I know West Ham haven’t had a lot of goals in their recent games, but you can see that they are creating a lot of chances at the moment – their last three xG figures have been 3.52, 2.05 and 2.63. Bournemouth haven’t sat back either, and they tend to play an open game. What I like about Bournemouth at the moment is they have attacked when going behind, especially that win against Nottingham Forest that kick started their season if you like and I can see an entertaining end-to-end game here. Goals looks the best option.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Over 2.5 goals at 2.08 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
