MANCHESTER CITY V NEWCASTLE

5.30pm It’s an FA Cup Quarter-Final weekend, and we have some cracking ties on BETDAQ Betting Exchange! There’s no doubt that Manchester United v Liverpool will take all the headlines on Sunday afternoon, but the highlight on Saturday is definitely Manchester City hosting Newcastle in all Premier League clash. City will be expected to win here – they have been on a very impressive run lately and obviously Newcastle haven’t been as good this season compared to last; especially away from home. City come into the game as the red-hot odds on favourites at 1.28 with Newcastle 12.5 and the draw is 7.0 at the time of writing.

While that 1.28 might feel a little shorter at first glance of the market, it really does highlight the gulf in class between the sides this season. Newcastle lost again on Monday night to Chelsea and dropped down to tenth place in the Premier League table. Another away loss meant they have only collected 11 points from their 14 away games this season. Compare that to City who have yet to be beaten at home in the Premier League this season. It feels like the best hope for Newcastle is a draw here!

It’s hard to see past a win for City here, so we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. City have an average xG created of 2.17 in the Premier League this season which is exceptionally impressive – that’s the best attacking figure in the best league in the world. Compare that to Newcastle’s average xG conceded away from home which is a whopping 1.76! That’s a lot of chances to be conceding away from home, their results have obviously reflected that and now they come up against the best attacking side too.

City will play a very open game, they will know that they can out-run this Newcastle side. It will be interesting to see how Eddie Howe sets up his Newcastle side; logic would suggest they try to keep things as quiet as possible but I just don’t see them having the ability to do that. They’ve just conceded too many chances this season. City can cover the 1.5 goal Handicap here which is trading at a very attractive 1.74. City are creating over two goals per game and Newcastle are conceding close to that away from home; I expect this game to go in-line with the form this season and the 1.74 is worth a confident bet on a smooth City win.

The Striker Says:
Three points win Manchester City -1.5 goals to beat Newcastle at 1.74 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
