OSASUNA V REAL MADRID

3.15pm We focus on La Liga for the Saturday European action on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week! We have two odds on favourites – both actually trading the same price at the time of writing! We kick off the day with Osasuna hosting Real Madrid. With a cushion of seven points at the top of the table, it’s just a case of ticking the games off now for Real Madrid. They will be expected to notch up another win here, and they are trading 1.59 with Osasuna 6.6 and the draw is 4.5. Real have dropped points recently in La Liga – maybe they had one eye on the Champions League now that we are at the knockout stage but it hasn’t done any damage to their title hopes. They’ve drawn three of their last five games, but Girona have only won twice in their last six and Barcelona have drawn two of their last five – given Barcelona were a little further back I don’t think Real have anything to worry about at the moment. They have the best attacking figure with an average xG created of 1.99 and they also have the best defensive figure in La Liga with an average xG conceded of 1.06. Everything says they are comfortably the best side in La Liga this season.

Osasuna are sitting in mid-table, and that is a fair reflection of their level. They have struggled to convert their chances this season – their average xG created if 1.3 and their actual goals scored average is only 1.11. They basically concede a little over what they score, and that equals mid-table in nearly all of Europe’s elite leagues. There is a huge difference in the Osasuna figures at home and away however, and that’s why we see Real as big as 1.57 here. At home they are creating more than they are conceding, while it’s the opposite away from home. That being said, I still feel the 1.57 looks too big to ignore on Real here. They ran out 4-0 winners when the sides met earlier in the season, it was a very one sided game and Osasuna were basically never in it. I’m not going to go mad with the stakes here, but the 1.57 is worthy of a confident bet. Osasuna are there for the taking, and Real can get the job done here.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid to beat Osasuna at 1.57 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

ATHLETIC BILBAO V ALAVES

8pm We finish Saturday with Athletic Bilbao hosting Alaves, and as I said above we have the exact same price for the favourites here as Athletic Bilbao are trading 1.59 at the time of writing with Alaves 7.8 and the draw is 4.0. It was a superb weekend for Bilbao last weekend as they notched up another win while Atletico Madrid lost to Cadiz. Fair to say that loss was a big shock with Cadiz sitting in the relegation zone, but suddenly Bilbao have a shot at a top four spot. They start the weekend sitting two points behind Atletico Madrid and while you’d still have to fancy Atletico to take that fourth spot; things just got interesting! Athletic Bilbao have built an excellent season based off their home form. They’ve only lost once all season here, and that was to Real Madrid on the opening weekend. They recently held Barcelona to a 0-0 draw here, and saw off Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey Semi-Final with an impressive win. Alaves have their work cut out here, but overall they will be very happy with the season – they started the weekend ten points away from the relegation zone and considering they came up from the Segunda playoffs that is a success for Alaves.

It’s hard to see past the home win here, and the 1.59 is a very appealing bet. I think we’ll have two winning favourites in La Liga today! Athletic Bilbao have exceptionally impressive figures at home this season; they have been rock solid at the back with an average xG conceded of only 1.09 while they have created a lot too – their average xG created at home is 1.73. Very impressive figures, and I know they haven’t been even close to as good as that away from home that isn’t a factor here. Alaves have been trying to keep their games as tight as possible this season; their games haven’t had much action but they are conceding an average xG of 1.55 away from home this season. At this stage we know what to expect from Alaves, they will come here to defend and be very negative. Under 2.5 goals has won in their last five La Liga games, but with Bilbao creating so much at home I can see them breaking through and winning comfortably. The 1.59 is a confident bet.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Athletic Bilbao to beat Alaves at 1.59 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
