FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews GLADBACH v WERDER BREMEN and GENOA v JUVENTUS both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
GLADBACH V WERDER BREMEN
7.30pm Friday night football from Europe this week on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE comes from the Bundesliga and Serie A! We have two very interesting markets, with very similar prices too! We kick off the evening in the Bundesliga where Gladbach host Werder Bremen. It wasn’t so long ago that Gladbach were a top four side, but those times are long gone. They have turned into a mid-table side, and they will be fancied to beat an average side like Werder Bremen. However, Gladbach play an exceptionally open game and they aren’t a side you can fully trust. They are the odds on favourites here – they are trading 1.97 with Werder Bremen 3.6 and the draw is 4.1 at the time of writing. It’s hard to have much confidence in Werder Bremen, but Gladbach are exceptionally poor at the back. They are conceding an average xG of 1.83 which is the worst defensive figure in the Bundesliga this season. It will be interesting to see how this game plays out, because Werder Bremen have an average xG created of only 0.95 which is the worst attacking figure in the Bundesliga!
We have the worst defence against the worst attack! Who comes out on top? As I said above, Werder Bremen just aren’t a side that you can trust, and I fully accept the fact that they are very limited going forward, however I just feel that the 1.97 is too short on Gladbach here. They have given away so many goals this season it’s hard to have any confidence on them. However, Over 2.5 goals jumps off the page here at 1.48. Werder Bremen concede a fair few chances – not as much as Gladbach but enough to suggest we’ll see lots of goals here. Obviously it’s a worry that Werder Bremen are limited going forward, but Gladbach are the worst side at the back in the Bundesliga so they will concede chances here. We should have a very open game with plenty of chances, and I feel Overs is worth a Max Bet at 1.48.

GENOA V JUVENTUS
7.45pm Next we go to Serie A to finish Friday night as Genoa host Juventus. As I highlighted last weekend, it’s been a strange season at the top of the Serie A table! You have side splaying excellent football and not getting results, and then you have sides playing pretty average football but they are grinding out results! Juventus are one of those sides; their xG figures aren’t really impressive but you have to give them massive credit for getting results They start the weekend only two points behind Inter Milan – the plan here will be to go top and put the pressure on Inter who are away to Lazio on Sunday. Genoa have been struggling at the start of the season, and they begin this matchday only four points outside of the relegation zone. They have been very poor going forward – their average xG created is only 0.86 which is the worst attacking figure in Serie A this season. They have been trying to keep games as tight as possible, and they have been pretty solid at the back with an average xG conceded of 1.22 – that’s been the only thing keeping them out of the relegation zone. However, with that attacking figure you just know that they will have a battle on their hands to stay up this season.
Juventus come into the game as the odds on favourites. They are trading 1.87 at the time of writing with Genoa 4.9 and the draw is 3.4. Genoa have been poor going forward at home and away this season, so I don’t see being at home as a massive advantage for them. Where there is a huge difference however is the Juventus home and away form. Juventus have been grinding out results so you can’t knock them too much, however their away performances have been pretty average. They are conceding more chances than they are creating away from home, and I’m sure they will have their fair share of layers here. However, I feel the 1.87 is too big to lay given how poor Genoa have been this season. If I had to have a bet in the match odds market I would go for Juventus, however I really like Under 2.5 goals here at 1.54. Genoa have been exceptionally limited going forward as we know, and Juventus just haven’t been blowing sides away this season – I can see them grinding out a 1-0 or 2-0 win, but at the same time you wouldn’t be surprised with a 0-0. Unders looks a nice position.
