EINTRACHT FRANKFURT V WERDER BREMEN

7.30pm Friday night football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE this week comes from the Bundesliga and Serie A. We might not have the most glamorous fixtures, but we do have two interesting markets to go through. We kick off the action in the Bundesliga as Eintracht Frankfurt host Werder Bremen. Eintracht Frankfurt have been reasonably consistent, and they already looked locked in for sixth position which gives them a spot in Europe. There’s a nine point gap to RB Leipzig in fifth above them, and five points to Augsburg below them so it would be a surprise if they moved anywhere. Werder Bremen have been a mid-table side since coming back from the Bundesliga, and they won’t be too unhappy with that considering it wasn’t so long ago they were relegated. Eintracht Frankfurt come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.84 with Werder Bremen 4.6 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Although Werder Bremen are sitting in mid-table, there are a lot of red flags in their under-lining numbers. If things don’t change you could say they’ll be involved in the relegation battle next season.

In a high scoring league, they only have an average xG created of 0.96. That’s the joint-worst attacking figure in the Bundesliga with Heidenheim who actually sit right beside them in the table with the exact same points! Both sides are over-performing in front of goal – that’s why they aren’t in the relegation zone. Werder Bremen have a reasonably high average xG conceded at 1.51 but that’s pretty much mid-table level in the Bundesliga. Frankfurt have been consistent, and that’s the best way to describe them. They are very solid at home, but they have had a lot of issues away from home – they have definitely struggled to create chances on the road. Frankfurt don’t have an impressive attacking figure – their average xG created at home is only 1.25 but that’s higher than their conceded figure. The sides played out a 2-2 draw earlier in the season, but you wouldn’t expect a very entertaining affair looking at their under-lining numbers! Werder Bremen have been very average this season overall, and I feel the best position here is a small bet on Frankfurt at the odds. They have been very solid at home, and they can grind out a win.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Eintracht Frankfurt to beat Werder Bremen at 1.84 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

SALERNITANA V SASSUOLO

7.45pm We move over to Serie A to finish Friday night as Salernitana host Sassuolo. Our usual Friday night slot from Europe is one game from the Bundesliga and one from La Liga, but it’s a Copa del Rey Final weekend in Spain this weekend. We have the bottom two sides in Serie A here so I don’t expect a quality game of football, but it’s an absolutely massive game for Sassuolo who actually have a chance of staying up this season. From that point of view, this is a must win game. Salernitana are nailed to the bottom of the table – they have only managed 14 points from their 30 games and they are massively adrift already with no chance of staying up. It’s a different story for Sassuolo however; they have 24 points which is only one point behind Frosinone in 17th – a win here would see them out of the relegation zone for the time being. They also have Verona and Cagliari all within three points too. There’s plenty of sides involved in the relegation battle in Italy this season so I wouldn’t be hitting the panic button yet from a Sassuolo point of view. There’s bound to be plenty of drama over the next few weeks!

Sassuolo come into the game as the favourites at 2.24 with Salernitana 3.45 and the draw is 3.65 at the time of writing. Salernitana have only managed seven points at home this season which is the worst record in Serie A by a distance this season – being at home is hardly an advantage here. They also have the worst attacking figure in Serie A too with an average xG created of only 0.89. Sassuolo have been much better going forward – their average xG created at 1.33 is basically mid-table level. Both sides have obviously been poor at the back too; you only have to look at their position in the table to see that – not only do they have high average xG conceded figures, they are conceding more than they should too. It’s hard to find anything positive to say about Salernitana – they have just been so poor this season and although Sassuolo have their issues too, they should get the job done. This is a game for small stakes, but I’m happy with the 2.24 on Sassuolo.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Sassuolo to beat Salernitana at 2.24 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
