MONDAY PREVIEW: The Ultra previews Monday’s matches between GETAFE v ATLETICO MADRID and JUVENTUS v SASSUOLO both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

GETAFE V ATLETICO MADRID

6.30pm We have a superb Monday on BETDAQ Betting Exchange around Europe with action from La Liga and Serie A! It was brilliant to have these two leagues return at the weekend, and we have two fascinating ties tonight. We start in La Liga with Getafe hosting Atletico Madrid. I felt we’d see Atletico Madrid trade odds on for this game, but I was surprised to see them trading 2.02 when I clicked into the market – the 2.02 isn’t far away from odds on in fairness! I know Atletico started the season very slowly last year, and at times they were very average too, but Getafe were involved in a relegation battle last season and their xG figures weren’t far away from their actual figures too. They finished only one spot ahead in the “Expected” table which is a reflection of how average they were. It’s not like Atletico Madrid were poor away from home last season either – they finished top four but they did lose seven away games last season which is obviously a big number. I’m not going to go crazy with the stakes because it’s the first weekend of the season, but it’s very hard to look past the 2.02 on Atletico.

Getafe’s issues were up front last season. They finished the season with an xG of just 0.9 per La Liga game, and that was their actual figure too. With such limited figures going forward, they have to keep games tight – I can’t see them changing tactics this season so I would expect them to be very negative here. From that point of view, I can understand the Atletico price here – I’m sure there will be plenty of traders willing to lay Atletico looking to trade out after a slow start. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a 0-0 score line at HT here and the game to open up in the second half. That’s the main reason why I’m keen to keep stakes in check on Atletico but they managed six goals in their two La Liga games against Getafe last season with two wins. They did have to work very hard to win here last season though – they went into the final 15 minutes 1-0 down but pulled it out of the bag with a 90th minute winner. Atletico will definitely create more chances here, and I am hoping they take them. Two points on 2.02 feel the right play stakes wise.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Atletico Madrid to beat Getafe at 2.02 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V SASSUOLO

7.45pm Next we move to Serie A to finish the night as Juventus host Sassuolo! Juventus come into the game as heavy favourites trading 1.5 at the time of writing, but they’re going to have to work hard here to start the season with a win. Sassuolo are your average mid-table Serie A side, but they did manage to pull off a 2-1 win here last season. They won the game in the 95th minute but to be fair we also saw a close game when Sassuolo had home advantage, except that time Juventus came out on top. Sassuolo actually took the lead, but Juventus bounced back to win. Sassuolo have a reputation for being very solid at the back, but they did concede an average xG of 1.7 per Serie A game last season which is quite high. As the saying goes, you don’t win many games when you concede two goals per game! Juventus started last season very, very slowly and at one stage it actually looked like they wouldn’t even reach the top four. They had a great mid-season and ended up clear of the others sitting in fourth, but they were miles away from being in the title race. Improvement must be shown this season, especially at the start of the season, so I would expect them to be targeting a fast start this season but there are a few reasons to avoid the 1.5 on Juventus here.

They had two very close games with Sassuolo last season, and they weren’t great going forward last season. They finished the season with an xG of 1.5, and I would expect Sassuolo to be very cagey here. Juventus are a much better side overall than Sassuolo, so I’m not overly keen to lay the home win at 1.5 – I’m going to stay away from the match odds market here and focus on the goal markets. I know we saw Over 2.5 goals when the sides met last season, but I like Under 2.5 goals here at 2.64. I really didn’t expect it to be trading as high as it is! Perhaps it is Sassuolo’s high xG concede, but as I said they do have a reputation for being solid at the back. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Juventus have to grind out a 1-0 win, but I really don’t see a lot of goals here. I think both sides line up not to gel together for a good game, the xG figures from their meetings show that, and apart from some late goals we would have had two pretty dull affairs. I’d definitely have Under 2.5 goals closer to 2.0 here and the 2.64 looks cracking value.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Under 2.5 goals at 2.64 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
