REAL BETIS v RAYO VALLECANO

8pm We have a massive week around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this week! It’s crunch time in the Champions League and Europa League Semi-Finals as we have the second legs, and only Inter Milan have a two goal advantage every other Semi-Final has everything to play for. We have an exciting week ahead, but we start with Monday night football in La Liga. It might not be the most glamorous fixture of the week as Real Betis host Rayo Vallecano, but we do have an interesting market.

You have to say that Real Betis will be disappointed with this season. They started this matchday sitting in sixth, nine point behind Real Sociedad sitting in fourth. After Sevilla had such a bad start, Real Betis would have been a very popular choice for that fourth spot. They won the Copa del Rey last season and were a very strong fifth in La Liga. They just haven’t been good enough this season though, and they have benefitted from Real Betis winning the Copa del Rey because there was an extra Europa League spot given to La Liga with Real Madrid already certain of the Champions League.

Girona and Athletic Bilbao started the weekend five points behind Real Betis, and although I don’t see them catching Real Betis because they do have a pretty easy run-in. The highest placed sides they’ll face are Rayo Vallecano here and Girona. Real Betis come into the game trading as the clear favourites, they are 2.0 at the time of writing with Rayo Vallecano 4.4 and the draw is 3.55.

There’s probably more negatives than positive for both sides here! Real Betis haven’t been playing good football lately, even in their win last time out against Athletic Bilbao they conceded an xG of close to double what they created. They did have to play Barcelona and Real Sociedad prior to that game but they also lost here against Cadiz last month, again conceding a higher xG figure than they created. It’s clear that Rayo Vallecano are a lot more comfortable at home rather than away, but they have managed 17 points from 16 away games which basically puts them in mid-table in the away form table.

Both sides like to play a reasonably open game, and they concede chances. Their average xG conceded this season is the same at 1.5. Real Betis have been a little lucky this season as their actual goals conceded works out at an average of 1.1. Betis have actually been involved in a lot of low scoring games – the average scores per Real Betis La Liga game is only 2.3. This should be another tight game, and Under 2.5 goals looks the best bet at 1.81. It’s hard to see many chances, and neither side is firing in front of goal.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.81 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
