MONDAY IN EUROPE: Our football tipster The Ultra previews Monday’s games between AC MILAN v BOLOGNA and REAL SOCIEDAD V ESPANYOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
AC MILAN V BOLOGNA
7.45pm We have a massive week in Europe this week with the Champions League and Europa League Quarter-Finals, but we kick it off on BETDAQ Betting Exchange with Monday night football from Serie A and La Liga. We start in Serie A where we have AC Milan hosting Bologna. I have to say the title race in Serie A is the most interesting in Europe in my opinion – I know things are looking very tasty in the Premier League between Manchester City and Liverpool, but we have a three way battle in Italy with AC Milan, Napoli and Inter Milan plus I suppose Juventus aren’t too far away should we see any drama. All clubs were involved in massive games at the weekend with Atalanta hosting Napoli and Juventus hosting Inter Milan. Those results won’t change too much for AC Milan as they started the weekend sitting on top of the table, and they really must win this game here. We’ve had a lot of huge games in Serie A recently and AC Milan have been involved in those game too – but if you want to win the title you really have to be winning home games against mid-table sides like Bologna.
The market is confident on the AC Milan win here, with the home side trading 1.41 at the time of writing. Bologna have been playing average football recently, and they are there for the taking in my opinion. They have only managed one win in their last ten Serie A games, and they haven’t had a very difficult fixture list either. Their xG figures have been unimpressive, and I feel this is a case of how many goals can AC Milan score rather than will they win. In that sense, I do feel that the 1.41 is too big to ignore. Usually I try to look to the side markets when I see a side trading around 1.4, but I make AC Milan 1.3 to win this game given the way Bologna have been playing recently. In my opinion, there’s no point picking a handicap line and I’m happy to keep things simple and have a Max Bet on AC Milan at the odds. This should be a smooth win and put them another step closer to the title.
The Ultra Says:
Five points win AC Milan to beat Bologna at 1.41 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL SOCIEDAD V ESPANYOL
8pm Next we move to La Liga to finish the evening as Real Sociedad host Espanyol. We’ve had a fantastic run of games in La Liga recently with El Clasico the weekend prior to the International break and we had some huge games at the weekend too. This is a big game for Real Sociedad as they try to hang onto sixth place for European football next season. They should be able to hold off Villarreal given they have a game in hand, and there’s also a chance that they can catch Real Betis too who have a Copa Del Rey Final that will take their attention this month. Espanyol have nothing to achieve as they sit in mid-table, and they are just playing out the season now. It will be interesting to see do we see any teams “on the beach early” as they say within the next few weeks. It’s that time of the year when sides start to just go through the motions. I suppose Espanyol are a classic example of a side that could happen to, but you never really know what’s happening in each dressing room. I’m sure we’ll have some mid-table sides switch off though in the coming weeks.
Real Sociedad will be confident of winning this game, but I do feel the market has them priced correctly at 1.63. It’s hard to make the case that they should be shorter than those odds – they aren’t exactly setting the world on fire at the moment with their xG figures. They played well in the 0-0 draw against Sevilla prior to the International break but they stopped Sevilla playing rather than going out to win the game. It’s been a while since they have created a real eye-catching xG figure, and you could see them struggling after their fast start to the season by looking at their xG figures. There’s always a chance that Espanyol will play an open game given they have nothing to lose at this stage of the season, but I actually feel we’ll have a cagey game here. Sociedad don’t really open up games, and Espanyol aren’t good away from home. They have only picked up eight points in their 14 away games this season so under 2.5 goals looks good value here at 1.85. I would be very surprised if we saw fireworks here, and it could be a pretty dull game where Sociedad have a lot of the ball but don’t create much.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.85 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
