MONDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews SALERNITANA v VERONA and BOLOGNA v JUVENTUS both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
SALERNITANA V VERONA
5.30pm Monday night football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE comes from Serie A this week as we tick down the final games of the season. Of course the highlight of this week will be the Europa League Final on Wednesday night, and we just finished the Bundesliga at the weekend too. It’s a weird little period – some very important games and some games where you just know half the players are going through the motions. Like every market, there are some games that offer immense value and others where you just want to keep stakes small. We kick off the action with Salernitana hosting Verona, and this is one of the games that you know is high stakes. Verona are very much involved in the relegation battle – they started the matchday just two points ahead of Empoli. What is in their favour is that there are a lot of teams involved in the Serie A relegation battle – Verona might only be two points away from the bottom three, but they started the matchday sitting up in 14th! This is an excellent chance for them to get three points and enjoy the final matchday next weekend – Salernitana have been nailed to the bottom of the table all season and their performance level has been poor too.
I suppose you could call this an open goal for Verona to save their season. As you would expect, Verona come into the game trading odds on at 1.75 with Salernitana 5.3 and the draw is 3.95 at the time of writing. Salernitana have comfortably been the worst side in Serie A this season, there haven’t been many positives. They have the worst attacking figure with an average xG created of only 0.86 and they have the worst defensive figure with an average xG conceded of 1.59. Not only that, but they are conceding more goals than they should too – they’ve been very poor at the back and are conceding over two goals per game on average. I know Verona are a limited side too, but they are playing better football than the home side. Being at home hasn’t been an advantage for Salernitana this season either, they have managed just eight points here all season. Obviously Verona aren’t a side that you want to have a large stake on, however I feel they should be shorter than 1.75 here and I’m happy with a confident three point bet.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Verona to beat Salernitana at 1.75 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

BOLOGNA V JUVENTUS
7.45pm Next we have a cracker as Bologna host Juventus. This could have been a huge battle in the race for the top four with Atalanta involved too but with Serie A now getting five Champions League spots both sides can relax and enjoy the end of the season – they were both in excellent spot already in fairness. Bologna will be absolutely delighted to finish in the top four, and a win here would see them finish third which is a great achievement – they finished 9th last season! They have definitely over-performed this season, and they will have to add some quality players with the extra money they get from Europe – plus obviously they will attract better quality players given they have Champions League football. Juventus come into this game fresh off a win in the Coppa Italia against Atalanta – they scored very early and held on to a 1-0 lead all game in classic Italian fashion. They needed that win, they really finished this season poorly – as I said in my preview of that game they were in the title battle at the start of February and went to nearly falling out of the top four! Only two wins in their last 15 Serie A games is quite the stat, and they have been very poor away from home too.
We are always guessing what games mean to sides at this stage of the season, but I do feel this will mean more to Bologna and the chance to finish third. Juventus have their Cup win and Champions League football. We have an exceptionally open betting heat, and Bologna come into the game as the favourites at 2.72 with Juventus 3.1 and the draw is 3.15 at the time of writing. Away from home this season, Juventus are marginally conceding more chances than they are creating – you have to give them credit for getting any many results as they have away from home this season, but obviously they do have that poor run at the moment. Bologna have been rock solid at home, their average xG conceded is only 1.10 at home and with Juventus not creating much at home, and I’m happy with a small bet on Bologna at the odds. I would just have them a little shorter and Juventus a little longer in what should be a quality game.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Bologna to beat Juventus at 2.72 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
