SATURDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Saturday’s matches between BAYERN MUNICH v SCHALKE, DORTMUND v GLADBACH and REAL MADRID v GETAFE all with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BAYERN MUNICH V SCHALKE
2.30pm The football season is ticking down, and we have another massive weekend on BETDAQ Betting Exchange ahead! We have action from the Bundesliga where we have an excellent title race this season, and then Real Madrid are in action in La Liga later on. We start the day in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich hosting Schalke. Everyone will expect this to be a routine win for Bayern, and they are trading as short as 1.13 at the time of writing – that’s one of the shortest prices in football this weekend! In fairness, it’s hard to see past the home win here given there’s such a gulf in class between the sides, and we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. Schalke have had an excellent run of results lately and that has taken them out of the bottom three for the time being – obviously it doesn’t help their cause that they bump into Bayern here! Schalke have won three of their last four games however, and one of those was against Hertha Berlin who are also in the relegation battle. In fairness to Schalke, they are playing their best football of the season at the moment.
Whether or not that’s good enough to trouble Bayern is another matter. Schalke recorded a huge 3-2 win over Mainz last Friday night, they scored the winner in the 102nd minute – what a feeling that must have been, especially in a relegation battle! They played well with an xG of 2.77 away from home, and that was much better than their recent away performances. They only managed an xG of 0.35 in a 4-0 loss to Freiburg and 0.58 in a 2-0 loss against Hoffenheim. At home they have been playing much better, but they will struggle here. The market is expecting a lot of goals – Over 2.5 goals is trading as short as 1.26! Bayern have conceded a lot of sloppy goals this season so I feel Schalke can score at some stage here. Both Teams To Score is trading 1.97 and this looks a nice position. The Schalke away form is a worry, but they have been creating more chances than usual lately. Plus Bayern like to play a very open game and will leave plenty of gaps if they go 3-0 or 4-0 up early for example.
The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.97 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

DORTMUND V GLADBACH
5.30pm We stay in the Bundesliga next as Dortmund host Gladbach. Dortmund have been having a superb season and they have really put the pressure on Bayern in the title race. With Bayern way below their best, you have to feel that this was an opportunity missed for Dortmund. Recent draws against Stuttgart and Bochum – both sides in the bottom three – have really hurt them. Without those results they would be top, even with the recent Bayern Munich loss too, but such is life. You could say Bayern would be further ahead without their shock losses as well! It’s hard to believe Dortmund have mounted a better title challenge without Erling Haaland but here we are. They have been relentless at home this season – a whopping 40 points from 15 home games which is five more than Bayern have managed from the same amount of games. Obviously Bayern are trading at very short odds to win today, and while Dortmund aren’t quite as short they are fully expected to win here. The home win is trading 1.28 at the time of writing.
With Dortmund trading that short, and having an excellent home record, we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. If you’re making an Acca this weekend, I couldn’t put anyone off including Dortmund. We landed a nice Max Bet last weekend on Dortmund to cover the Handicap, and I feel they can cover the 1.5 goal handicap again here. Gladbach are having an average season sitting in mid-table, and they have been very poor away from home too. They have only managed nine point from their 15 away games, which puts them just outside the bottom three on the away form table. Dortmund have been fantastic at home, and they have been banging in goals for fun recently too. We landed a Max Bet last weekend, and we can do the same here again!
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Dortmund -1.5 goals to beat Gladbach at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V GETAFE
8pm We move over to La Liga to finish a cracking Saturday as Real Madrid host Getafe. This is an interesting situation because Getafe start the weekend sitting in the bottom three, however a win last week against Celta Vigo has definitely put them back into the mix to stay up. They might be in the relegation zone, but they have the same amount of points as Valencia, and they’re only one point behind Cadiz and Real Valladolid. Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey last weekend, and then they had their Champions League Semi-Final first leg against Manchester City midweek. With the second leg next week, it’s hard to see them playing a full strength XI here. They have definitely eased off in recent weeks in La Liga – who can blame them given the title race was over after Barcelona won the latest El Clasico battle – but now Atletico Madrid have passed them for second. I don’t think Real care about that though, and all their focus is on the Champions League which I flagged more than a couple of weeks ago. Getafe will see this as an opportunity, even away from home.
Real Madrid are currently trading 1.53 at the time of writing with Getafe 7.1 and the draw is 4.3. I have to say that’s a very short price on Real given the circumstances around the Champions League Semi-Final – that’s definitely an angle for traders heading into this game because we’re likely to see some movement around the team news. I know Getafe have been very poor this season and sit in the bottom three, but I wouldn’t be keen to take the 1.53 on Real here. That’s definitely a price to avoid putting in your weekend Acca given their recent performances domestically. They lost to Girona and Real Sociedad, and in general have been playing a very open game to entertain rather than win games. Their tactics were very different against Manchester City! Getafe have struggled to score goals this season, they average less than one goal per game and they’ve only managed 11 points from 16 away games this season. I’m going to keep stakes small, but given likely changes for Real and their domestic tactics recently, I feel Getafe can score here. Both Teams To Score is worth backing at 2.06.
