SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s top European action – all with a recommended BETDAQ bet. Starting with Atlanta v Juventus at 11.30am.

ATALANTA V JUVENTUS

11.30am We have really been treated to some massive fixtures around Europe on BETDAQ Betting Exchange this weekend, and Sunday also promises to be a cracker! We saw incredible scenes in Naples on Thursday night as Napoli confirmed the Serie A title, but the real drama this weekend is in the top four race. Four sides were involved on Saturday, but we also have Atalanta clashing with Juventus to start Sunday! At the start of the weekend, Atalanta had crept back into the mix with three wins in a row to be level on points with AC Milan and Roma, just two points behind Inter Milan sitting in fourth and five points behind Juventus in third. Obviously Juventus getting their 15 point deduction overturned was a big blow for the other sides – however Juventus have opened the door to challenges after just one win from their last four Serie A games. Atalanta have conceded in all three of their wins, but they have got the job done after finding their goal scoring touch. They have definitely been a little lucky – they scored three against Roma from an xG of 1.08, two against Torino from an xG of just 0.70 and three against Spezia from an xG of 1.03. Credit to them; they have been scoring from all angles but they will need to create better chances against a side like Juventus.

We have an open market, with Atalanta the favourites due to home advantage. The match odds market at the time of writing currently trades; Atalanta 2.48, Juventus 3.2 and the draw is 3.4. Juventus haven’t been too impressive away from home this season, and there’s been a massive gap in their home and away results. They have played one more game at home than Napoli, but they actually sit top of the home form table by three points. Away from home, they have only managed 24 points from their 16 games which isn’t bad, but it’s also poor compared to their home record! Atalanta are clearly full of confidence at the moment, and they have been given another bite at the top four race after looking out of it; however I don’t like them as short as 2.48 given they haven’t created a huge amount of chances. It’s not like they have been blowing sides away and creating impressive xG figures. I feel this will be a tight and tense game, Juventus won’t be unhappy with a draw given the situation, and I’m going to take a chance on 0-0 Correct Score at a nice price of 11.0.

The Ultra Says:
One point win 0-0 Correct Score at 11.0 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

DORTMUND V WOLFSBURG

4.30pm Next we move over to the Bundesliga as Dortmund host Wolfsburg. Dortmund started the weekend sitting one point behind Bayern but they will be absolutely kicking themselves after recent draws against Stuttgart and Schalke – both of those clubs are in the relegation battle. It looked like Bayern would take over the title race when Thomas Tuchel arrived and they beat Dortmund 4-2, but Bayern have dropped points since to give Dortmund a chance again. Bayern would have played on Saturday before Dortmund kick off, but that result doesn’t matter – Dortmund just have to win their remaining games and hope Bayern slip up somewhere. At least we have a close title race in Germany this season – I have to say I didn’t see it coming after Erling Haaland left Dortmund but it’s been an enjoyable season. Obviously Bayern have been below their best and they’ve had plenty of issues, but it’s nice to see some competition. Dortmund face a Wolfsburg side who have won their last two games while scoring eight goals. They are pushing for a European spot, albeit one of the lesser European competitions, but they have plenty to play for. They like to play an open game – they create and concede an average xG of 1.5, but they wouldn’t be unhappy with a draw away to Dortmund. It will be interesting to see how they approach the game tactics wise.

Dortmund come into the game as the hot favourites, currently trading 1.55 at the time of writing with Wolfsburg 6.0 and the draw is 5.1. Wolfsburg managed to beat Dortmund 2-0 earlier in the season when they had home advantage, but Dortmund had won the last eight Bundesliga meetings between the sides prior to that! Last time they had home advantage they recorded a 6-1 win, and the other three wins before that were 2-0, 3-0 and 2-0. Dortmund couldn’t be in a better place at home either – they have won their last nine home Bundesliga games, and their strong home form is what has kept them in the title race. They are creating an average xG of 2.0 this season, and I feel that they can cover the Handicap here. They are trading 2.34 -1.5 goals and I feel we’re getting a lot of value here! I would have this bet at least ten ticks shorter, and at 2.34 it’s worth a Max Bet in my opinion. Dortmund have been faultless, and they can take advantage of Wolfsburg being too open at the back.

The Ultra Says:
Five points win Dortmund -1.5 goals to beat Wolfsburg at 2.34 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

TROYES V PSG

7.45pm We move over to France to finish a brilliant Sunday as Troyes host PSG in Ligue 1. As always with PSG, there has been playing of drama off the pitch this week! Things are moving so quickly it’s actually hard to keep up. It seems, reading between the lines, that none of the star players are happy at the moment. News broke this week that Messi is definitely leaving during the summer, and all eyes will be on where he goes after a trip to Saudi Arabia recently. That wasn’t an approved trip by the club, but it appears Messi has given up on PSG – I doubt he cares about being suspended at this stage. Despite winning the World Cup during his stay at PSG, Messi hasn’t been a success in Paris. He had a very poor first season, and hasn’t looked interested. He played at a completely different level during the World Cup, and he hasn’t got anywhere near that for PSG – even in the Champions League where it matters most. Neymar was also in the news this week, club supporters even turned up outside Neymar’s house chanting for him to leave the club. He’s injured at the moment but it all stems from his social media activity. The bottom line is; the PSG fans aren’t happy and the owners are going to have to plan their next move carefully.

You wouldn’t know it given the fan behaviour, but PSG start the weekend five points clear at the top of Ligue 1. In fairness, they lost last weekend against Lorient at home and that seems to be just another straw that broke the back of angry fans. They were totally outplayed too, conceding an xG of 2.66. You couldn’t clearly see in the Champions League this season that PSG don’t have much quality bar the top three up front – they lack a quality midfield and that’s always going to cause problems. That midfield might not be fully tested against Troyes here who are in the relegation zone, but they will be eying this as a great opportunity to cause a shock – they aren’t going get out of the bottom three though as there is a ten point gap to Nantes. PSG are trading very short at 1.35, but I wouldn’t be rushing to back them even allowing for how poor Troyes have been this season. PSG have conceded so many sloppy goals this season, plus their obvious dressing room issues, I can see Troyes scoring at some stage. Both Teams To Score is worth backing at 1.77.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Both Teams To Score at 1.77 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
