BAYERN MUNICH V FREIBURG

4.30pm We have a cracking Sunday from around Europe on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Bayern Munich are in action in the Bundesliga, then we have a blockbuster fixture between Juventus and Roma followed by Real Madrid in La Liga – there’s something for everyone. We kick off the day in the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich host Freiburg. With Bayer Leverkusen breaking the long run of Bayern Munich titles last season and then managing to keep hold of Xabi Alonso, for the first time in years Bayern come into a season under a little pressure. Winning the title isn’t a given anymore – it will be interesting to see how they cope with that new pressure. It’s fair to say that the market is expecting a routine home win here however; Bayern Munich come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.23 with Freiburg 13.0 and the draw is 8.6 at the time of writing. That 1.23 is one of the shortest prices around Europe this weekend, but it’s hard to argue with the market here – anything bar a comfortable win for Bayern would be a complete shock. We’ll have to look around the side markets for some value here.

Although there’s no prizes for tipping a 1.23 shot; Bayern do look an excellent option for any Betdaq Multiple this weekend. Freiburg finish in mid-table last season but that doesn’t tell the full story. They were exceptionally limited going forward – they finished the season with an average xG created of only 1.3. That was the fourth worst attacking figure in the Bundesliga, and very poor in what is a high scoring league. With stats like that they aren’t going to trouble Bayern here – I was actually surprised to see Both Teams To Score trading odds on at 1.72. Obviously the major negative for that is Bayern play such an open game, and then if they go 2-0 or 3-0 up they actually get more open – they don’t mind conceding the odd goal because they know they will out-score their opponents. Not only were Freiburg poor going forward last season, they were poor at the back too. Bayern should win comfortably here, and they can cover the 1.5 goal handicap which looks cracking value at 1.6. That is a very confident bet for me.

The Ultra Says:
Four points win Bayern Munich -1.5 goals to beat Freiburg at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

JUVENTUS V ROMA

7.45pm We move to Serie A next for a superb fixture as Juventus host Roma. After everyone had played two games in Serie A, only Juventus sat pretty with two wins from two games. They did have a pretty easy fixture list however, and it’s a fascinating season ahead for them. They were involved in the title race until February last season but then fell away dramatically. They only won three times in their final 17 Serie A fixtures of the season which is quite the run. Their under-lining numbers weren’t impressive either – they struggled to create chances consistently and finished the season with an average xG created of 1.42. It would be difficult to see them dropping out of the top four for example, but the market rates them as the main danger to Inter Milan and I just don’t see that. As I said on the opening weekend – when you compare the big sides all around Europe I actually think Inter Milan to win Serie A is the best bet just purely because of the lack of opposition. Manchester City have Arsenal, Real Madrid have Barcelona and Bayern Munich have Bayer Leverkusen. If Inter Milan have Juventus and Napoli as their main challenge then I don’t think they have anything to worry about!

Obviously Juventus fans will disagree with that, but it is a game of opinions. It’s an interesting season for Roma too; they’ve been through the Jose Mourinho experience and now begin a new season hoping to finally break into those Champions League spots. They definitely created more towards the end of last season, and if they managed to keep that level throughout this season then they should have a decent chance. Juventus come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.81 with Roma 5.3 and the draw is 3.85 at the time of writing. I have to say I was a little surprised to see Juventus trading as short as 1.81 when I clicked into the market. I wouldn’t have them that short, and I’d expect a closer game than the odds suggest here. This game screams a very tight and cagey affair though, especially with Juventus struggling to create a lot last season. I couldn’t put anyone off the Juventus lay, but Under 2.5 goals looks a nice position at 1.86.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Under 2.5 goals at 1.86 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V REAL BETIS

8.30pm We move over to La Liga to finish Sunday as Real Madrid host Real Betis. It’s a real shame that this is the final fixture before we head into an International break – that definitely comes up too quickly in my opinion! No doubt it will be good to have the Nations League back, but the domestic season is only back. La Liga squeezed a full fixture list in midweek, and Real Madrid dropped more points with a 1-1 draw away to Las Palmas. That left them already four points behind Barcelona heading into this weekend, and as I said recently about Barcelona with their issues off the field they needed a fast start and to feel like they are in the title race – well an early four point cushion definitely ticks that box for Barcelona. It was always going to be interesting to see how Mbappe would fit into this side – there was hardly anything wrong given they easily won La Liga last season along with the Champions League. Mabppe put in a very average performance against Las Palmas midweek, and it goes without saying that they need more from him. Coming here off the back of a bad Euros must be a lot of pressure, but you could say we haven’t had Mbappe at his best in months. Real will be hoping that changes soon!

It’s no surprise that Real Madrid come into this game as the red-hot favourites. They are trading as short as 1.3 at the time of writing with Real Betis 11.5 and the draw is 6.4. The Real Betis level has dropped off dramatically over the last two seasons – they are actually very close to becoming a mid-table side without European football if they aren’t careful. They finished last season with an average xG created of 1.37 which is pretty low for a side who wants to compete for Europe. They were rock solid at the back and that masked over the fact that they were poor going forward. Real Madrid backers have had their fingers burnt already this season – including me midweek – and although they should get the job done here I wouldn’t be rushing to lump on them at 1.3. I’m going to keep stakes small here, but given Betis have been quite average attacking, Both Teams Not To Score looks good value at 1.91. Real Madrid can keep a clean sheet on the way to winning. It’s early in the season, but it already feels like they can’t afford to drop more points.

The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams Not To Score at 1.91 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
