COPENHAGEN V MANCHESTER CITY

8pm The Champions League is back on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! The Last 16 kicks off on Tuesday and we have some excellent ties ahead. That also means it’s time for my annual moan; I really don’t understand why we cannot have one fixture at 5.45pm and the other at 8pm so we can enjoy both games, but here we are. We kick off the Last 16 with the shortest price of the round as Manchester City travel to Copenhagen. Pep Guardiola’s men are trading as short as 1.27 at the time of writing with Copenhagen 13.5 and the draw is 6.8. Premier League fans will know Copenhagen well because they came through a Group involving Manchester United. Everyone expected Bayern Munich to top that Group but other than that it was carnage – Manchester United finished last, and Copenhagen beat Manchester United here and got a draw away to Bayern Munich. That draw came when Bayern were certain of top spot in fairness, and it’s fair to say that it would be a complete shock if City failed to win here. Copenhagen just face a massive task ahead, and don’t forget their win over United came at a time when United were really struggling too. I would expect Copenhagen to be quite negative here to try and get a result, but then you’d hardly give them much chance going to Manchester after a draw here either.

If Copenhagen are going to have any chance of getting through to the next round, they have to win here. Easier said than done! Obviously the 4-3 win over United here was very dramatic, but it’s just hard to see City shipping four goals like United did. They have been one of the best attacking sides around Europe this season – their average xG created of 2.1 is the best attacking figure in the Premier League which is obviously the best league in the world. Copenhagen have are third in the Danish Superliga, and there is just a unbelievably big gulf in class between the sides here. I feel it’s a case of how many goals can City score rather than will they win. I wouldn’t put anyone off including City in their Acca this week at 1.27, but we’ll have to look around the side markets for some value. While I do expect Copenhagen to be quite negative here and try to make the game as cagey as possible, I still feel City can cover the handicap here. They are trading 1.79 -1.5 goals and this looks a very nice position to start the Last 16!

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Manchester City -1.5 goals to beat Copenhagen at 1.79 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

RB LEIPZIG V REAL MADRID

8pm With Manchester City fully expected to beat Copenhagen, this looks the tie of the night in my opinion. RB Leipzig host Real Madrid and we should have a very entertaining game here between two excellent attacking sides. While it’s not as one sided as the above game, you’d also have to be of the opinion that RB Leipzig need to win here to get through to the next round – it’s hard to see them getting a win in Madrid given the way Real have been playing this season. Jude Bellingham has been in unstoppable form as well! Real Madrid come into the game as the favourites, but they aren’t trading odds on. The away win is 2.24 with RB Leipzig 3.3 and the draw is 3.9 at the time of writing. RB Leipzig come into the game going through a little rough patch – when the Bundesliga came back after their winter break they had a six point advantage over Dortmund but they have fallen out of the top four with losses against Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart. That was a reasonably difficult fixture list, but more dropped points at the weekend against Augsburg leaves them three points outside the top four. Compare that situation to Real Madrid who have finally taken over at the top of La Liga in recent weeks. It was always inevitable that they would take over from Girona at some point, but they now have a five point advantage after winning at the weekend again with Girona losing.

We should have a high quality game of football here. Two excellent sides, and with RB Leipzig at home we should have an open game here too. If Real had home advantage you could see Leipzig being a little cagey, but I don’t see Real sitting back here. They will feel that they can do toe-to-toe with any side and win this season. For all the attacking talent Real Madrid have, they have also been excellent at the back this season. Their average xG conceded of 1.10 is the best defensive figure in La Liga. RB Leipzig have also been very solid at the back, and they have been great going forward too – their average xG created is 1.78 in the Bundesliga this season. I have to say that the 2.24 is tempting on Real Madrid, as is Over 2.5 goals at 1.7 or Both Teams To Score at 1.61. I expect a pretty open game here; Leipzig conceded three to Manchester City twice but also scored in both meetings at the Group stage. I would expect a similar type of game here and wouldn’t put anyone off Overs or BTTS; however the Real win looks the best value here at 2.24.

The Ultra Says:
Three points win Real Madrid to beat RB Leipzig at 2.24 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
