WEEK AHEAD: Golf and football dominate this week’s action and neither are short in quality.
Fulham hope to have the best possible start to their uphill survival battle when they face Burnley on Monday to get the week off to a good start, the action from Craven Cottage can be seen on Sky Sports at 20:00. Tuesday is a Premier League double header with Manchester United hosting FA Cup finalists Leicester City on BT Sport before Southampton take on Crystal Palace on Sky Sports.
Wednesday is day one of the British Masters and former Masters champion Danny Willet begins hosting duties the action will play out daily on Sky Sports from the iconic Belfry, which hosts the tournament for a fourth time. The action will run for four days until culminating on Saturday which should be a thriller for golf fans to enjoy. Champions League finalists Chelsea are in action on Wednesday against Arsenal who missed out on a Europa League final last week.
Thursday brings with it the rescheduled fixture between Manchester United and Liverpool, there is always drama in this classic derby and this game promises to be no different, tensions will be high and both sides will want a result in their favour, the action can be seen on Sky Sports at 20:15. The AT&T Byron Nelson gets underway later in the evening and as ever the golfing action will be live daily on Sky Sports, with day one’s coverage starting from 20:30. Newcastle United and Premier League champions-elect Manchester City are in action on Friday, before Saturday arrives and is started by Burnley and Leeds on BT Sport in the lunchtime kick-off. Southampton and Fulham are the warmup act for the FA Cup final which gets underway at 17:00 on BBC, where Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea will be hopeful they can secure some silverware at Wembley against Leicester City, before the end of the month when they face off with Manchester City in the Champions League Final.
Crystal Palace and Aston Villa start Sunday off before Tottenham and Wolves are in action shortly after, Both games are live on Sky Sports. West Brom host Liverpool, again on Sky Sports, before a change is needed and we head to BT Sport for Everton and Sheffield United at 19:00. The real drama however will come again on Sky Sports at 19:30 as the final day of the AT&T Byron Nelson gets underway to round the week off and edge away the Sunday evening blues.
