There’re big fields in most of the races at Thurles today including the maiden hurdle at 3.05 in which the Willie Mullins trained Don Poli is set to go off an odds-on favourite.
Every horse has a price – and I’m forced to press the lay button on BETDAQ with this one as the price looks far too short.
Dangerous, I know, to oppose Willie Mullins at the best of times but the form of Don Poli’s second at Navan to Festive Felon was let down when the winner struggled here last time out and finished last of four.
Sizing Coal is a very realistic alternative but it’s a straightforward lay.
I’m sticking with Mullins for the nap and his Measureofmydreams in the closing bumper. This one looked good when winning between the flags and should be good enough to go in first time under rules in this company.
