FINGERS CROSSED FOR GOWRAN: There’s no racing in Ireland today at Thurles but fingers crossed Gowran Park gets the green light on Saturday featuring the Red Mills Trial Hurdle.
There are currently no planned inspections at Gowran Park on Saturday which is good news as the Red Mills Trial Hurdle promises to be a cracker.
The final runners are to be confirmed but trainer Philip Fenton is leaning towards running Dunguib here.
Dunguib had his first run since March 2011 at Naas last month with an encouraging third to Rule The World. He also won this race in 2011 and was the winner of the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in 2009.
Also likely to contest the Red Mills Trial Hurdle is the exciting French import Un De Sceaux who heads a quintet of entries from Willie Mullins.
The six-year-old has created a big impression in winning his two starts so far this term by an aggregate of 82 lengths and is trading at around 14.5 for the Champion Hurdle on BETDAQ.
