Spurs need to ‘do a Man U’ in Portugal night – a 3-0 win is needed given Benfica have an away goal.
The problem for Spurs is that, unlike Man U, they have the away leg tonight and Benfica are hardly likely to ease up given there’s still a job to be completed.
Benfica are particularly strong in defence which will make life tough for Spurs – and they are sure to open up opportunities for counter attacks as the clock ticks on.
There’s likely to be a highly charged atmosphere both on the pitch and the touchline…..
Spurs boss Tim Sherwood confronted Benfica counterpart Jorge Jesus on the sidelines at White Hart Lane after the Portuguese celebrated his side’s third goal by raising three fingers towards the Spurs bench.
The pair did not shake hands on the final whistle and Sherwood subsequently accused Jesus of “lacking class”.
The draw makes some appeal at around 4.3 – a result of course that won’t help Spurs.
