THURLES ON THURSDAY: SHAMROCK switches his attention to the Thurles card on Thursday and the best bet at the County Tipperary track comes up at 2.55.
Silver Sally and Myblueeyedgirl dispute favouritism on BETDAQ for the maiden hurdle at 2.55 but I think Silver Sally is by far the safer proposition.
Myblueeyedgirl has been let down by her jumping on several occasions, including last time out at Downpatrick where she was disputing the lead before coming down at the last. She probably has a race like this within her but on the evidence to date she remains a risky proposition.
Silver Sally has run well on both her starts over hurdles having previously shown placed form in bumpers.
She was a 50/1 chance on jumping debut and finished fourth at Tipperary and then went on to finish third, in what looked a better race, at Galway where she had another of today’s rivals Think Of Me well behind.
Elsewhere on the card Noel Meade’s Couleur France should build on a highly promising second at Fairyhouse with a win in the 1.55. The form of that race has worked out really well.
