Merry Night started favourite for his racecourse debut at Fairyhouse but found one too good in the shape of Showem Silver. He did however travel well in his race and is certainly worth supporting again in the closing bumper at Thurles today. The Willie Mullins trained runner takes a big drop back in distance to two miles but the ground will be hugely testing.
It’s a big field but hard to find too many serious dangers unless any of the debutants prove extra special.
Jury Duty has a couple of good thirds to his name over hurdles, notably last time out at Fairyhouse and it’s puzzling to see him switched back to bumpers. He does however look the danger.
