SHAMROCK NAPS IN NAVAN OPENER: Early NAP for SHAMROCK on Saturday with a nap in the opening Racing 13th March Maiden Hurdle at 1.55pm.
The opener at Navan this afternoon looks set to be won by the Jessica Harrington trained Unyielding who had placed form on the flat and made a promising jumps debut at Naas when third to Babbling Stream. Although beaten 15 lengths, Unyielding should improve for that run and this looks a modest contest today.
Of the opposition All Souls was a winner on the flat in France and is an interesting jumps debutant. The Gordon Elliott trained Calin Des Ongrais was last of nine finishers on his jumps debut at Punchestown. It’s hard to think that was his true running and he should prove himself better than that today.
