Manchester City v Dynamo Kiev 7-45
Dynamo Kiev will have to be better than Dynamo the magician to qualify here! City should be quite comfortable after a solid 3-1 away win in the first leg, a bright spark in their recent troubles away from home. However, City have failed to keep a clean sheet in the Champions League this season, indeed they have only kept one clean sheet in their last 17 home Champions League games, so maybe it could get interesting if Dynamo score the first goal – you would expect City to bounce back well though, and given that Dynamo have only won 4 of their last 34 away Champions League games, maybe this is a superb chance for City to actually keep a clean sheet this season! A City win is 1.54, which looks a shade of value given Dynamo’s record away from home, and also their record in England is terrible – they’ve never won a game in Europe away to an English side. On the first and anytime scorer markets, Aguero has scored 16 goals in 17 Champions League starts, you can back him to score around 2.0.

Atletico Madrid v PSV 7-45
Atletico will consider the first leg a job well done, although it’s always slightly risky going into the second leg at home after a 0-0 because of away goals. Given Atletico’s defensive record though, they definitely won’t be bothered by that, they’ve kept 12 clean sheets in their last 16 Champions League games, and an incredible 11 clean sheets from 13 at home in the Champions League. Impressive defense! 1.32 to win in 90 minutes might not be everyone’s cup of tea, however PSV’s away record doesn’t inspire a shock, they’ve lost 9 of their last 12 Champions League away games. An Atletico win to nil seems quite likely here, and there might be some value in backing a 1-0 or 2-0 home win in the correct score market. An Atletico clean sheet is also trading around the 1.7 mark.
