Hannover v Borussia Monchengladbach
Hannover sit hopelessly adrift at the bottom of the Bundesliga. They are twelve points away from safety with a mere fifteen points available so, for them, each of the five remaining fixtures is the proverbial ‘cup final’. Potentially buoyed by last week’s unlikely 2-2 draw with third place Hertha, they host Monchengladbach on Friday night. Monchengladbach’s recent form reads loss-win-loss-win-loss, it also reads away-home-away-home-away. They haven’t seen a domestic away-win for five months, when a three game spell saw them record their only away victories of the season.

Augsburg v Stuttgart
Augsburg sit two points above the relegation zone, just three behind opponents Stuttgart. Both have recorded only one win in their last five; Augsburg’s coming last week, Stuttgart’s five weeks ago, both need the win. Stuttgart love to concede, they’ve relinquished the most goals in the Bundesliga this season. In the corresponding fixture in November Augsburg put four past them and romped to a 4-0 win. This marked the sixth consecutive Augsburg victory in the last six meetings of the sides.
