EURO 2016 SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s Euro 2016 Final between PORTUGAL v FRANCE played at 8pm.

Portugal v France

8pm Portugal have been somewhat “boring” in the tournament so far, however their ability to dictate matches and set the tempo should not be under-estimated facing a French side who struggled to break down defensive sides in the Group Stages. The odds at the time of writing are Portugal 4.6, France 2.1 and the draw 3.2 – and Portugal look a shade of value at 4.6.

They did a really good job keeping Wales quiet in the semi-final, the first half was quite boring and this game could prove that way too – but we feel France are a lot more vulnerable at the back than their results suggest, Germany were all over them for the first half up to the debatable penalty right on the stroke of half time but just failed to find the net. Portugal have also had an extra 24 hours to rest and prepare, not to mention the difference between the quarter-finals too, and that has to be a factor at the end of a long tournament.

So far in Euro 2016, Griezmann, Giroud and Payet have scored 12 of France’s 13 goals, like we said above Portugal have done very well with stopping teams performing and setting the tempo, if they can control those three – they stop France. So can the French stop Ronaldo and co? 0-0 is currently trading around the 7.4 and that could be an option for a trade, while under 2.5 goals is 1.56 but that looks too short to back.

On balance, we like the 4.6 on Portugal however at around 3.15 Draw-No-Bet, that is too big to not be our best bet – it’s nice to have the draw on side, especially with the way Portugal have approached their games. Hopefully it’s a great game and don’t forgot to check out some of the enhanced specials on BETDAQ for First Goalscorer.
