Former Tottenham Hotspur gaffer, Juande Ramos, took the manager’s job at Malaga at the start of this season and just like at Spurs, is NOT proving a popular choice amongst Malaga fans. Results are not helping Ramos who has overseen just one win in six attempts in La Liga. Defeats to serial relegation battlers, Real Betis,Eibar and Ossasuna show the lack in quality within this Malaga side and I feel another defeat is on the cards this evening when Bibao come to town.
The Basque outfit played in the Europa League last Thursday and easily beat Rapid Vienna to continue their good run of form. Last week, a three goals to one home win over Seville, which was Seville’s first defeat in eight matches, shows the task facing Malaga. Bilbao Striker Aritz Aduriz is in great form with three goals in four matches and would be a tempting first player to score wager at 6.5 on BETDAQ.
Last season Athletic Bilbao came to Malaga and took all three points. I think that this season Bilbao are a better team whilst Malaga are gradually declining. As mentioned, Malaga are favourites however for me this should be reversed and Bilbao should be favourites in my book. I recommend a straight win bet on Athetic Bilbao at the very generous 3.25 on BETDAQ.
Greg’s tips:
BACK 2 POINTS – ATHLETIC BILBAO @ 3.25.
