MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Monday’s game at the Riverside between Middlesbrough and Hull with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
Middlesbrough v Hull
8pm Monday Night Football this week see’s Hull travel to Middlesbrough hoping to stop their losing run at four away games. However, they face a tough challenge to do so against a Middlesbrough side who have lost just once in their last five.
Middlesbrough were unlucky to leave Leicester last week with just a draw having been the better side, and over the last few weeks they have been performing very well. They’ve went to Arsenal and Man City have came away with a draw both times, and while they lost 1-0 to Chelsea, they battled hard and Chelsea have been putting teams to the sword lately so there was no shame in losing a hard fought 1-0.
So it’s hard to see Hull getting a result here. They currently sit in 19th in the league and bar a surprise 2-1 win over Southampton, they have been pretty poor – a 3-0 loss to Sunderland the low point. It’s highly likely they’ll come to set up solid at the back and not give too much away – they’ve only scored more than one once in the last five. So under 2.5 goals is of interest 1.68, especially considering Middlesbrough have impressed more defending this season than attacking, so it’s hard to see them racking up a few goals.
We feel though that the Middlesbrough win at 1.82 offers a shade more value than under 2.5 goals at 1.68 and that will be our best bet. It may be worth checking what prices a 1-0 or 2-0 win for Middlesbrough trade in the Correct Score market closer to kick off.
