THURSDAY EUROPA LEAGUE: We preview Thursday’s games between Zorya Lugansk v Manchester United and Southampton v Hapoel Beer Sheva with recommended BETDAQ bets.
Zorya Lugansk v Manchester United
6pm United make the tricky trip to the Ukraine on Thursday evening and after losing their last five away from home in Europe, they look a shade short at 1.38. However, with Zorya yet to win a game in the Europa League this season, its reasonable to think that United will indeed get the job done here – and its possible best that we stay away from the match odds market in search of value.
A draw would be enough to see United qualify for the next round, and if they win and Fenerbahce lose, that would see them top Group A. They were left sickened late yet again in the Premier League the weekend by Everton, and we feel that this one might be a low scorer. The freezing conditions should suit the home team, but its hard to see them troubling United too much going forward, and with under 2.5 goals trading 2.02 that looks big. It could also be worth checking what price a 1-0 or 2-0 United win is trading in the Correct Score market closer to kick off.

Southampton v Hapoel Beer Sheva
8.05pm These two are level on 7 points in Group K and this is a massive game! Southampton disappointed us the weekend losing 3-0 to Crystal Palace, especially considering the form Palace were in beforehand. They have no choice but to go all out for the win here as Hapoel will go through with a score draw, and it’s far too risky playing for a 0-0. Southampton have been fairly solid at home thus far this season though, and Hapoel don’t have a great record when traveling to Europe – they did beat Inter away from home in this competition though, and you’d have to say that Southampton do look a shade short at 1.48 given that there isn’t a huge gulf between the sides based on their Group games this season. We expect this one to be a very tight affair, and on the basis we’re happy to take a chance and lay Southampton at 1.48. Under 2.5 goals has to be of interest too at 1.87.
