THURLES WINNER FOR DE BROMHEAD: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Thurles card on Thursday with a recommended bet in the 2.45pm.
Capital Force looks set to give Henry de Bromhead another winner in the maiden hurdle this afternoon on the Thurles card.
The lightly raced six-year-old has been placed in all three of his starts – going closest to winning on debut when a head second at Fairyhouse.
He was sent off an odds-on favourite last time out at Leopardstown and finished a two length third. In the context of today’s race that form reads quite well as this looks a more modest contest.
The obvious danger is the Willie Mullins trained Sharps Choice who has finished placed in two bumper starts, both here at Thurles, and makes his hurdling debut today. His bumper form only looked average and Capital Force is preferred.
