SATURDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet. The action starts at 12.30pm with Arsenal v Hull.

ARSENAL V HULL

12.30pm We get underway with this weekends Premier League action as Hull travel to Arsenal hoping to continue their good run. Recent wins against Bournemouth and Liverpool while a draw at Manchester United has seen them get to 18th in the table and they will believe that they can stay up now as it’s getting quite tight between 15th and 20th. Arsenal meanwhile have had back-to-back losses against Chelsea and Watford which has effectively ended their title hopes. The fans are once again questioning Wenger, and anything but a win here would see further pressure on him – from the fans anyway. With the way that Hull defended against United though, Arsenal look to be a shade short at 1.31 here. We fancy Hull to defend well once again and it could take a while for Arsenal to break them down, with this in mind we feel under 2.5 goals looks too big at 2.72 and that is the value call to start the weekends action.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.72.

MANCHESTER UNITED V WATFORD

3pm Watford arrive into Old Trafford off the back of two much needed wins against Burnley and Arsenal, they were without a win in five games previous and had lost four of those. With United in such good form though, you’d expect a routine win for the home side here. Watford have been poor enough this season, and their place in the league is boosted by their good start mainly, and while the shock win against Arsenal might be a reason for many to lay United at 1.27, we don’t see it. United are now unbeaten in 15 Premier League games, although they have drawn too many to really have an impact on things at the top of the table. Much like the Leicester 3-0 win last weekend though, we feel Watford aren’t as solid at the back as some of the sides who have held United recently, and for that reason we feel it will be a comfortable United win. They’re currently 1.81 -1.5 goals and that looks value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United -1.5 goals to beat Watford at 1.81.

MIDDLESBROUGH V EVERTON

3pm With a defeat against Spurs last weekend, Middlesbrough are now on a seven game run without a win in the league. They have still been reasonably solid at the back though, like they have been all season, and have seen under 2.5 goals in four of their last five. They’ve won in the FA Cup too, so it’s not all doom and gloom for them. However, Everton are one of the form teams in the league at the moment and look to be a big price for victory here at around the 2.14 mark. Under 2.5 goals looks big too at 1.7, especially considering the way Middlesbrough approach things. We feel though that the Everton win offers just a shade more value than under 2.5 goals. Everton have scored 15 goals in their last five league games, and have been impressive against Southampton, Man City and Bournemouth – so the 2.14 on the win here looks a good bet.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Everton to beat Middlesbrough at 2.14.

STOKE V CRYSTAL PALACE

3pm Big Sam must have been thinking things couldn’t get any worse last weekend as he sat and watched his side lose 4-0 to Sunderland. Imagine what he said at half time too, given they went in 4-0 down! They’ve slipped into the bottom three now and face a real battle to stay up. We don’t see things changing for them here either as Stoke have been in pretty decent form lately, they lost 1-0 to West Brom last weekend, however as we wrote in our preview – West Brom have been playing very well and it was always going to be a tight game. At around the 2.1 mark though, we fancy Stoke to get back to winning ways and pile on more misery to Palace.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Stoke to beat Crystal Palace at 2.1.

SUNDERLAND V SOUTHAMPTON

3pm David Moyes almost couldn’t believe his luck going into the dressing room 4-0 at HT away to Palace last weekend, and now Sunderland have a real lifeline in their bid to stay up. They must have a massive chance of following up that win here too, against a Southampton side that is terribly out of form. They’ve lost six of their last seven in the league, and have been woeful since beating Liverpool to go through to the EFL Cup final. They played a second XI in the FA Cup against Arsenal, but paid for it by losing 5-0, and that seems to have knocked their confidence as they’ve lost to Swansea and West Ham. Sunderland have obviously had their struggles this season, however they did manage to hold Spurs to a 0-0 draw in their last home game and with the form that Southampton are in, we feel they are worth laying at 2.06.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Southampton at 2.06.

WEST HAM V WEST BROM

3pm This should be an interesting game! Both sides have been in decent form lately and currently sit 8th and 9th in the Premier League table. West Ham have had three solid wins against Southampton, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace – however we feel that West Brom have been playing better than those three sides and West Ham look short at 2.28 to win. As we have remarked most weekends, West Brom are having a very good season by any standards – however they just keep coming up short against the top sides. But, they have been dealing with the rest and we feel that they can keep that run going. We just feel this one will be way closer than the odds suggest and with this in mind, we’re happy to lay the Hammers at 2.28.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay West Ham at 2.28.

LIVERPOOL V TOTTENHAM

5.30pm This is undoubtedly the highlight of this weekends Premier League action and the main talking point will be how will Liverpool play. They managed just one win from ten games in 2017 and were embarrassed further last weekend as Hull beat them 2-0. At the time of writing, they’re currently trading 2.32 and we feel that its very difficult to find a reason to back them at those odds.

The thing that might suit Liverpool here though is the fact that Spurs won’t just defend against them like the smaller sides have. Although, it seems pretty obvious at this stage when playing Liverpool to pack the center of the pitch and then counter attack – so maybe Spurs will employ those tactics, they have the players to do it. Until we see improvement from Liverpool though, we can’t away from laying them at 2.32, especially as Spurs have playing well lately.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 2.32.
