8pm We have a London Derby this week for Monday Night Football with the league leaders Chelsea visiting West Ham. The odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Chelsea 1.64, West Ham 6.2 with the draw trading 4.3, and it should be a good game!
West Ham have a pretty decent recent record, only losing once in their last six – they’ve scored 12 goals in those games, however they have conceded nine, and also conceded in all of their last five.
With the way that Chelsea have been scoring this season, it’s hard to see West Ham keeping a clean sheet here.
Chelsea have won 17 of their last 20, and only lost once! That’s a pretty impressive stat so the West Ham back doesn’t appeal at 6.2, especially considering how many clean sheets that Chelsea have kept this season too. Over 2.5 goals is certainly an option at around the 1.9 mark given the goals that both teams have scored this season, however Chelsea’s record at the back puts us off this bet.
It’s tempting to just keep it simple and back Chelsea at 1.62, however with the way that West Ham have been conceding goals we feel that it’s worth backing Chelsea -1 on the Asian Handicap at 2.1 (bets void if they win by 1).
