LEAGUE, CUP & CHAMPIONSHIP This is a quiet Premier League weekend, but there is plenty of action across the different leagues and of course we have reached the FA Cup quarter final stage with plenty of Premier League interest including one colossal clash on Monday night.
Hull v Swansea
3.00pm Saturday
I like what both of these managers have done since taking the mantle at their respective clubs. Both looked like certainties to go down but both managers have come in and given a bit of stability to their teams. I am really impressed with what Marco Silva has done. When you look at all the injuries this team has suffered all season long, to have the few able bodied players he has left putting in performances like they do is really commendable.
Hull were defeated their last time out, but with the way they are playing recently you know they will create some problems. I have a feeling they can get the better of Swansea this weekend. I know Swansea have been in excellent form under Paul Clement, grabbing a few wins and somewhat getting them out of trouble, but I think at home this weekend Hull will be able to create seomthing a little special. I quite like Niasse playing up front, and I think bringing the likes of Shaun Moloney into the team they will be able to create some chances to win this game, and of course under Marco Silva they do not concede many goals.
This is their chance, their game to really turn things around near the foot of the table and I fancy them to do it. This would be a huge momentum boos to the side as they look towards the rest of the season, and at around 2.58 I think they are real value. As a side they have a real edge about them now and I think they will take advantage of their opportunity to grab three points at home against another side in the relegation battle.
TONY’S BEST BET:
Back Hull at 2.58.

Aston Villa v Sheffield Wednesday
3.00pm Saturday
With the lack of Premier League games this weekend, and considering the prices available in most the games I am going to dip down to the Championship for my next tip. My old club Aston Villa have had a really dreadful season so far. The club has been in a bit of a mess since going down to the Championship, they have changed their manager and he is struggling to pick his best eleven. Steve Bruce has had so much to deal with since taking the job, you have to feel for him. There is some players that need to be cast away from the team at the end of this season for sure. They now site mid table, can’t go up, can’t go down so all they can hope for is a bit of form to close out the season.
Sheffield Wednesday are a really tough team to play, even when they are away from home. They have plenty of ability in their team, and I actually fancy them to get a result at Villa Park. They are a really big price for me at 3.15. They are a team that look to be Playoff bound. They will be looking for a few big results to maybe push them towards the top two in the table, but again at the very least you would expect them to make the Playoffs. They are a real handful up front, with plenty of goals in them especially in Rhodes. Giving their form and the fact they are the side with something to play for I am going to back them to get a result away from home tomorrow.
TONY’S BEST BET:
Back Sheffield Wednesday at 3.15.
