EUROPA LEAGUE: We preview tonight’s Europa League quarter final between ANDERLECHT V MANCHESTER UNITED with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

8.05pm Manchester United arrive into the Europa League Quarter Finals as favourites to win the tournament – however this looks to be a really tough test for them. Casual fans might expect a routine victory for United, but you could have said the same for their tie with Rostov in the last round when they only edged them out 2-1 over the two legs. They are short favourites to win tonight at 1.93, with Anderlecht 4.6 and the draw 3.7 at the time of writing.
There’s no doubt that United have struggled in front of goal this season, and looking at Anderlecht’s record at home – there are plenty of reasons why United are a good lay at 1.93 tonight. For starters, it being a first leg and away from home, we can’t see United taking too many risks here, especially towards the end of the game. A draw and getting back to Old Trafford to win the tie would be a decent plan.
Anderlecht have only lost once in their last 16 games at home in all competitions, and currently sit top of the table in the Belgian League. They’ve also kept clean sheets in all of their five recent home games, and looking back at their clashes with English sides – they beat Spurs in this competition last season, and drew 3-3 with Arsenal in the Champions League not long ago either.
So we expect a very tough night for United. Anderlecht’s home record is impressive, and with United struggling for goals and this being a first leg tie, we feel the 1.93 on the United win is way too short and offers a good value lay.
