WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: A busy evening of World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday. We preview three games with a recommended BETDAQ bet including the televised France v Netherlands.
FRANCE V NETHERLANDS
7.45pm We start the World Cup Qualifiers this week with an absolute cracker as Netherlands travel to France. They currently sit three points behind France and Sweden in Group A, so they really need a result here otherwise it looks like they’ll miss out on another major tournament. The market expects an easy home win though, with the odds at the time writing currently; France 1.59, Netherlands 7.4 and the draw is 4.2.
France have only lost one game at home since the start of 2016, so an away win looks unlikely, especially looking at the Dutch away record. They’ve failed to score in five of their last six away games – looking at the French squad, it’s obvious where the quality lies, and couple this with the poor away record of the Netherlands – the home win looks too big at 1.59.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
France to beat Netherlands at 1.59.

BULGARIA V SWEDEN
7.45pm With the clash of France and Netherlands in Group A, this is a great chance for Bulgaria to get back in the shake up for qualifying, and a superb chance for Sweden to seal their qualification. So plenty is on the line here. Sweden have been impressive in the group thus far, many expected them to struggle without Zlatan, but they have moved on well – they still have a pretty poor away record though, and that could be the thing to focus on here.
The odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Bulgaria 5.2, Sweden 1.84 and the draw is 3.65. We feel that the value is definitely with the Sweden lay at 1.85 – Bulgaria don’t lose many games at home, indeed you have to go back five years to find four – while Sweden don’t look very strong away. This one will looks closer than the odds suggest to us, and we’re happy to lay Sweden at 1.85.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Sweden at 1.85.

PORTUGAL V FAROE ISLANDS
7.45pm We still have the same situation in Group B since the first round of fixtures when Switzerland beat Portugal – Switzerland sit three points ahead of Portugal with both well clear. It’s obvious both sides are levels above the rest of the group, and it’s more of a case of how many will Portugal score here rather than will they win.
Looking at the stats, we expect a big home win here. Portugal have scored 34 goals in their last eight home games, impressive stats on their own and when you look at how little quality The Faroe Islands have – and their poor away record – this should be an easy win for Portugal. The 1.7 on Portugal -3.5 goals looks big to us, and that looks good value.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Portugal -3.5 goals to beat Faroe Islands at 1.7.
