IT’S THE REAL THING: SHAMROCK looks ahead to Thurles on Thursday with a nap in the maiden hurdle at 1.55pm.
Willie Mullins can be amongst the winners again at Thurles this afternoon and his Real Steel looks the nap on the card in the maiden hurdle at 1.55pm.
He follows a well-trodden path of joining the stable from France and was only pipped a nose on his hurdling debut at Fontainebleau in March by a horse who has gone on to win three more races including a Grade 3.
The form looks solid and he proved he could handle the soft ground.
The opposition doesn’t look strong with the exception of the top two on the racecard who are penalised for winning bumpers.
Daly Tiger is a course and distance winner who is preferred to the Joseph O’Brien trained Champagne Paddy as the main danger.
