6-1 BOLTS IN AND DAQMAN LANDS A DOUBLE: Daqman scored with three winning bets yesterday, including a dream 6-1 success. He went for a hot-pot and an outsider for a place in each of two races, doubling up. The win double was landed and 15.5 and 10.0 shots in the frame but a non-runner cost him one of the place returns.

12.45 Cheltenham Nigel Twiston-Davies, big-race king of this autumn-into-winter campaign, produced Blaklion to win this two years ago.
He has brought Tintern Theatre to the race today from two recent novice chases on the Cheltenham course, improving on the last day upped to today’s trip until badly hampered turning in: 4.6 taken on BETDAQ.
Coastal Tiep struggled on the soft at Aintree last time, after scoring at Exeter on a sound surface, and Sizing Tennessee’s jumping let him down on the last day (unseated rider). We really don’t want to see a nine-year-old beating three youngsters.
The pace and tactics are the worry for Duel At Dawn, who also scored at Exeter. Doesn’t mind the conditions, and is highly regarded, targeting the NH Chase (4m) at the Cheltenham Festival.
1.20 Cheltenham The money this morning early mouse was for Okotoks, who has changed stables, but you have to go back more than two years to a maiden hurdle for his only jumping success.
Another novice, Champagne City was third on the old course here in his first handicap but his winning form is all on goodish going.
Sea Wall, well placed to win over fences recently, is nine now, and I’d prefer to wait for Smaolneamh Alainn to go back to races for her own sex.
If you acknowledge Alex Ferguson’s full 7lb claim, then he will wipe out, and more, the penalty for the Fontwell success of Ben Pauling’s Raven’s Tower (Remiluc third): 9.2 taken.
Qualando, formerly with Paul Nicholls, is dropped down a grade from his Cheltenham second in the Spring and is back in trip for his new yard, reverting to the minimum of his Fred Winter win at the 2015 festival. But that’s a long time ago.
NOW’S THE TIME FOR WEST TO STRIKE
1.55 Cheltenham Hat-trick scorer over hurdles, Timeforwest has not yet translated that form to fences but, if he is to get into a better handicap at the festival, he needs to start climbing the ladder now at 7.2 on BETDAQ.
Song Saa was only seventh in this race 12 months ago but is six times placed in a row this year and now rated more than a stone better horse.
However, she was miles behind Sheer Poetry at W orcester, thoough that one’s third in a big field on the old course here last month has her a stone higher for the two runs.
Ms Parfois has been consistent in Point, bumper, hurdle and chase but her form this year has not inspired the handicapper to move her more than a few pounds.
2.30 Cheltenham Though blinkered first time, Southfield Theatre will struggle here according to t he stats, which record that all winners in the decade were off 11st 4lb or lower.
He’s twice dropped below his usual Grade 3 (the level of this race) without bouncing back to his old 2014-15 form.
Shanroe Santos had purple patches at turn of year into Spring but his best form seems to be around 3m, and he was last to finish when unseating on the last day.
Eider Chase winner Mysteree loves the mud, has won on his reappearance three times, and has jumped round the new course here. You’d think Michael Scudamore will have readied him for this at 4.9 on BETDAQ.
Robinsfirth and Wotzizname have both won at Exeter in a tongue tie. Robin wasn’t disgraced at Cheltenham on the other course, fourth in a big-field handicap, and he didn’t have the luck in running when trying to follow up on the last day.
If Coastal Tiep won the 12.45, Wotzizname whom he beat seven lengths at Exeter would have an improved shout in this one.
UNDER ORDERS FOR BOLGER AGAIN
3.05 Cheltenham Six of the last eight to score in this cross country were of double-figure age and last year’s nine-lengths winner Cantlow (7.2 Betdaq offers) must go close again for Enda Bolger.
But the same stable saddles 3.15 bet Josie’s Orders, three from three over this CD at Cheltenham, and gave notice of a return to form with a narrow defeat over the Punchestown banks course on the last day.
Kingswell Theatre won the November Glenfarclas here but is an in-and-out performer and back-to-back success is a doubtful proposition.
I warned in my horses-to-follow list that Jonjo O’Neill intends having a go at this discipline with More Of That. World Hurdle winner and RSA third to Blaklion in 2015-16.
3.40 Cheltenham The Dutchman’s bridesmaid reputation for Sandy Thomson continued under new trainer, Colin Tizzard, last time (form figures still standing now 21322202, with the win in a small-field novice chase).
Arthur’s Gift is up 16 lb for a double on country tracks and there’s nothing in his pedigree that suggests this longer trip will be to his advantage.
Rocky’s Treasure (BETDAQ 8.2) should reverse reapperarance form her on the old course with Anteros. His success has come on good ground but he is lightly raced and unexposed, and the stable is having a great year.
