SIX HITS! NAP, FOUR TREBLES AND AN ACCA UP: It was Daqman to the fore yet again! He decided it was a Saturday for Daq Multiples and he named FOUR winners out of FOUR selections for FOUR trebles plus ONE accumulator. And his nap at 7-4 made SIX winning bets altogether.
NOW DAQMAN IS 15-7 IN FRONT OF PRICEWISE: The nap, Acting Lass (WON 7-4), took him further ahead of Pricewise of the Racing Post in their big-race challenge. Daqman now leads 15-7, well clear on single-unit level stakes (+ 44 to + 2). His winners were:

FONTWELL ‘CHARM’ OFFENSIVE
2.10 Fontwell A class-3 hurdle, a rarity today. The overnight favourite, Fourth Act, a nearly horse over fences, has raced only once over hurdles (unplaced) among 13 chase starts since October 2015.
And The Dutchman yesterday was equally isolated among 16 losers for Fourth Act’s stable, Team Tizard, in the last two weeks.
I See You Well and Theo’s Charm are also switching from fences. I See You Well won over hurdles eight months ago at Punchestown, and earlier scored in soft conditions for ‘Shark’ Hanlon in Ireland.
But Theo’s Charm has consistent form over the smaller obstacles, since November 2015. Delete his chases and Cheltenham starts and he is 3115233, including fifth of 17 a year ago in the quality Ascot feature won by Jenkins yesterday.
Jenkins’ jockey James Bowen is booked for the Charm offensive after his sensational run of big-race success: 3.1 taken this morning.
2.40 Fontwell This is a 3m 2f marathon chase, fairly well supported as almost all the long-distance tests are.
Goring One won two at this trip in December, at Wincanton and Fontwell, and he’s on a remarkable run as a 13-year-old: 1230311 since he was a sprightly Spring lamb of 12 last year!
But Goring One was all out to beat Colmers Hill in the Fontwell race over today’s trip and is 6lb worse off.
I’m dismissing It’s A Steal and For Carmel (famous last words) as low-level bridesmaids. So it’s Colmer’s Hill for me at 8.0 on BETDAQ, though I shall also have a pound on a strong tip from Sam Twiston-Davies for Leith Hill Legasi.
Not what you might call consistent but a good third at Uttoxeter on the last day, and well backed in to 6.6
TOM’S CHANCE IF HE CAN TAKE IT
1.50 Thurles I was delighted to see that Mouse Morris has a youngster with staying potential, at which he excels.
But it’s a lot to ask Beyond The Law to front run Burrows Saint out of it, giving the Willie Mullins hope 8lb, with the Saint’s form boosted by big-field success for the runner-up since.
2.50 Thurles (Kinloch Brae Chase) The field for this Grade-3 today suggests that it will fall short of its recent habit of producing the Gold Cup winner (Don Cossack took it in 2015 and 16, Sizing John last year).
But their ratings were wildly wide apart, Don Cossack winning this in his gold year off 175 while Sizing John, a seven-year-old just coming to prominence, off only 153.
A Toi Phil is a 155. He’s won Grade-2 chases at Punchestown, Navan and Gowran Park but has disappointed in his last four starts, including in the John Durkan, well behind Sizing John.
The fragile American Tom, unexposed at today’s trip but bred for it, started back with a Grade-3 third at Naas, and the conditions of the Kinloch Brae give him a narrow edge on the favourite, off 148 in receipt of 8lb.
Woodland Opera was 16 lengths behind American Tom just over a year ago, yet has to give him weight now.
He has won over today’s kind of trip, but Punchestown is very much his course and he has to meet the 6lb superior A Toi Phil at level weights here.
Nambour was well behind ‘Phil’ last time he appeared on a racecourse, 427 days ago.
Beaten over 3m either side of a shock victory in the Fortria (2m) at Navan in November, Arctic Skipper has scored over the 2m 4f required today.
He’s only a pound or two off American Tom and Woodland Opera in the ratings, which is further support for Tom at the weights.
