BALLINROBE NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Ballinrobe for his best bet of the day on Tuesday in the concluding bumper.
A disappointing effort from the nap on Monday, Gangster, who was a well beaten fifth at Kilbeggan.
There’s more jumps action to look forward to this evening at Ballinrobe with a seven race card underway at 5.25pm on soft to heavy ground.
The concluding bumper can go to Castlebrook who might prove a spot of value against his principal rivals from the bigger yards Valdieu (Noel Meade) and Vent D’Automne (Willie Mullins).
The Jimmy Mangan trained Castlebrook has finished place in all three of his starts under rules and seems to appreciate the testing ground.
He was a beaten a long way into third when odds-on in a Thurles hurdle last time out but it’s quite possible that the three mile trip was beyond him and he is stepped back fairly dramatically to 2m 1f here with no jumps in the way.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Castlebrook (8.35 Ballinrobe)
