This should leave the coast clear for the Joseph O’Brien trained Hardback who was twice a winner over hurdles and made a highly satisfactory chasing debut at Killarney when runner-up to Le Martalin. The Willie Mullins trained Pravalaguna (now a non runner) was fourth in that race.
