NO SURPRISE IN PLUMPTON RAFFLE

3.35 Hamilton Never Be Enough is taken to turn around Carlisle form with Jamil.

The pair finished second and third (on soft ground) but Never Be Enough was pretty clueless on debut and might well be able to turn the tables with Jamil who seemed to struggle under his penalty for a debut Salisbury success.

Cloudlam was a respectable enough fourth on debut at Chelmsford when weak in the market but this is a much stiffer test although representing the Haggas yard obviously has to be respected.

4.00 Plumpton Plenty of rain about this morning and it may have got more testing for Twenty Twenty than trainer Gary Moore would have preferred.

The three-year-old might well now prove vulnerable under his 7lb penalty for a hard fought hurdles debut win at Fontwell.

His only previous start was on the flat at Goodwood where he was beaten 25 lengths into fourth on soft ground.

David Pipe runs two but Mutanaqel has form to find with Twenty Twenty and the Tom Scudamore ridden Malangen folded pretty tamely at Worcester last time out when again the going was on the easy side having previously won a seller on the flat at Leicester on fast ground.

Preference has to be for the Ben Pauling trained Raffles Surprise who arrives from France with an interesting pedigree and although well beaten on debut is totally unexposed and could easily outclass his rivals.

5.10 Hamilton Pentland Hills chases the hat-trick but is up another 4lb and has yet to encounter ground as testing as this.

Pammi looks a better alternative in receipt of 17lb from the top weight. Jim Goldie has the filly out again quickly after a great run at Ayr on Thursday.

Jamie Gormley takes off a handy 3lb and the previous course and distance winner should go close.
