UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s Nations League games between FRANCE v GERMANY and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v WALES with recommended BETDAQ bets.

7.45pm We have yet another big clash on Tuesday night in the UEFA Nations League as Germany travel to take on France. Germany are coming off an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands on Saturday and after a poor World Cup; they definitely look like a team in transition. Facing France away from home is no easy task when you’re in top form and with Germany struggling at the moment we could see them struggling in the competition after tonight.
France are odds on favourites, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; France 1.81, Germany 4.9 and the draw is 4.0. Germany weren’t good enough to beat France recently with home advantage so it’s very difficult to see them winning tonight. They look like a team going backwards at the moment and with France full of confidence after winning the World Cup; they can win tonight and top this Group. We feel France look at least ten ticks too big at 1.81.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v WALES
7.45pm It feels like all these two sides do is play each other lately! We’ve another game to enjoy tonight and Ireland will be the one looking for revenge this time. Wales ran out very easy winners in Cardiff already in this competition when thrashing Ireland 4-1 and while Ireland steadied the ship somewhat on Saturday night with a 0-0 draw against Denmark; they are still a team on the ropes at the moment. There’s still talk of fighting in the camp and they just aren’t scoring enough goals to win games.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Republic Of Ireland 2.44, Wales 3.65 and the draw is 3.1. On balance, Ireland were lucky to get a draw on Saturday against Denmark and if they continue to play the kind of football that they are producing at the moment they just aren’t going to win many games. They look very short here at 2.44 especially as Wales looked so much better than them recently. It’s hard to see where the Irish goals will come from and while it’s very tempting to back Wales to win; Ireland look very short at 2.44 so we feel that the best value call is to lay the home side.
