NAAS NAP: SHAMROCK bids to follow-up yesterday’s winning nap in the feature Leinster National at Naas this afternoon.
Yesterday’s NAP Minella Melody stormed home to a 12 length success on her Rules debut at Gowran. She looks a really nice prospect for Henry de Bromhead and was well backed down to a 9/10 SP.
It’s the final day of racing in Ireland before the Cheltenham Festival but don’t underestimate the card at Naas which is very strong in it’s own right.
Feature race is the Leinster National at 4.50pm (Dounikos a non runner) with several of these you would have expected to be running at Cheltenham.
Wishmoor was second to Dounikos in the Grand National Trial Handicap Chase at Punchestown and looked unlucky too having been hampered by a loose horse five out.
He can make amends by picking up this valuable prize in the hands of Rachael Blackmore who has a good book of rides coming up at the Cheltenham Festival.
