GROUP ACTION AT LEOPARDSTOWN: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Group action on tonight’s Leopardstown card.
Double Group 3 action on tonight’s Leopardstown card and in the Tyros Stakes at 7.30pm the Aidan O’Brien trained Armory will go to post a very short-priced favourite.
He made his debut here when third and showed the benefit of that run when sprinting clear under hands and heels at the Curragh last time out. It’s early days but he looks a very nice prospect and should take this en route to bigger and better things.
The Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes at 6.55 for the fillies looks altogether more competitive.
Aidan O’Brien has a strong hand with three runners, including the Ryan Moore ridden Precious Moments who already has proven pattern race form.
I’ll take a chance though with the Jessie Harrington trained Windracer who won with a bit in hand on debut at The Curragh despite the official winning margin of just a neck.
She’ll need to improve plenty for that run but that’s not out of the question and she looks a spot of value against the favourite.
